London, UK – 13 August 2025 – Nissan has announced a new pricing structure for its award-winning all-electric luxury SUV, the Ariya, making the model more attainable than ever. With most versions now qualifying for the UK Government’s £1,500 Electric Car Grant, the Ariya delivers greater value while retaining the innovation, performance, and premium design that have defined it since launch.
The pricing revision sees the Ariya’s entry point drop to £33,500 (including the grant), with many variants falling below the £40,000 threshold for the UK’s luxury car tax. This not only reduces the initial purchase cost but also lowers ongoing ownership expenses, reinforcing the Ariya’s position as one of the most compelling premium EV options in its segment.
The New Shiro: Style at the Entry Level
Complementing the updated pricing is the introduction of the Ariya Shiro, a new entry-level grade that blends accessibility with a distinct visual edge. Powered by the 63kWh battery and eligible for the £1,500 grant, the Shiro features an exclusive monotone pearlescent white finish, ProPILOT driver assistance, a wireless phone charger, and a design pack that includes front fog lights and privacy glass. With an on-the-road price of £33,500, the Shiro brings high-end features and refined styling to the most affordable point in the Ariya range.
Award-Winning Design and Technology
Since debuting, the Ariya has been celebrated for its striking coupé-crossover silhouette, advanced all-electric performance, and lounge-like interior. Offering up to 329 miles of WLTP range, a 12.3-inch dual-screen display, ProPILOT Assist, and wireless Apple CarPlay, the Ariya combines cutting-edge connectivity with long-distance comfort. Its accolades include being named Auto Express Car of the Year in its launch year, underscoring its position as a benchmark in the segment.

Range Pricing and Eligibility
With the new structure, only two Ariya variants fall outside the grant scheme – the e-4ORCE all-wheel-drive models and the motorsport-inspired NISMO edition – while all other trims benefit from the government incentive.

Expanding the Electric Line-up
Fiona Mackay, Nissan GB Marketing Director, commented:
“Securing eligibility for the UK Government’s £1,500 Electric Vehicle Grant makes Ariya more accessible than ever. It now offers greater value without compromising on the innovation, design, and performance our customers expect. This reflects our commitment to removing barriers to EV ownership and empowering more drivers to make the switch to zero-emission driving.
“And this is just the beginning. Alongside Ariya and the newly launched All-New Micra, we’re looking forward to the third-generation British-built LEAF later this year, followed by the electric Juke in 2026, also coming from our Sunderland plant.”
With more competitive pricing, enhanced eligibility for government incentives, and the launch of the stylish Shiro edition, the Nissan Ariya strengthens its appeal as a luxury EV that delivers both substance and value.
