Škoda has officially revealed full UK specifications and pricing for its new all-electric Epiq, a compact SUV crossover designed to bring electric mobility firmly into the mainstream. With prices starting at just £24,950 OTR, the Epiq becomes the brand’s most affordable EV to date, achieving direct price parity with its ICE sibling, the Kamiq, and signalling a decisive step in Škoda’s push toward mass-market electrification.
Positioned as the entry point into the brand’s expanding electric portfolio, the Epiq will be offered in SE L and Edition trims, alongside a limited First Edition model. Order books open in July 2026, initially focusing on the 55kWh version in SE L and Edition specification. The move underlines Škoda’s ambition to widen access to electric driving while maintaining its reputation for practicality and value.
Under the surface, the Epiq is the first Škoda model to sit on the Volkswagen Group’s new MEB+ platform, and notably the brand’s first front-wheel-drive EV. The architecture has been optimised for compact electric vehicles, reducing weight while improving efficiency and interior space utilisation, a combination that helps define the Epiq’s dual character as both city-friendly and long-distance capable.
Two battery options are offered. The entry Epiq 40 features a 37kWh usable LFP battery with an estimated WLTP range of around 190 miles, while the Epiq 55 uses a 52kWh NMC pack capable of delivering up to 272 miles on a single charge. The larger battery variant supports rapid DC charging at up to 105kW, enabling a 10 to 80 percent charge in under 25 minutes. Both versions support bidirectional charging, allowing energy to be fed back to external systems where infrastructure permits, while one-pedal driving with adjustable regeneration enhances urban usability.
Performance is tuned for everyday responsiveness, with the Epiq 40 producing 135PS and the Epiq 55 delivering 211PS, both driving the front wheels. The result is a compact EV that prioritises efficiency and accessibility without sacrificing usable performance.
Despite its compact exterior footprint, the Epiq has been engineered around space and practicality. It offers a 475-litre boot, placing it among the most spacious in its class, alongside a 25-litre front storage compartment that adds flexibility for cables or smaller items. Aerodynamic refinement has also been a key focus, resulting in a drag coefficient of 0.275 that supports efficiency and range.
Design follows Škoda’s Modern Solid philosophy, defined by clean surfacing and functional detail. A glossy black Tech-Deck Face anchors the front end, joined by a distinctive T-shaped lighting signature that will influence future Škoda SUVs. Robust bumper structures with O-shaped air inlets reinforce its stance, while six paint finishes range from Marble Grey and Timano Green to Jasper Red, Pebble Silver, Platinum White and Mystery Black. Alloy wheel sizes span 18 to 20 inches depending on specification.
Inside, the cabin is built around functionality and intuitive use, with a 13-inch central infotainment display and a five-inch digital cockpit forming the core of the driver interface. The layout is complemented by wireless smartphone integration, connected services and access to a digital app store via Škoda’s MyŠkoda platform. Material choices emphasise sustainability and tactility, including the introduction of Techtona, an animal-free synthetic leather alternative designed to reduce water and chemical use during production.
Three interior Design Selections define the cabin character. Loft Grey comes as standard across SE L and Edition, combining grey fabric and artificial leather with sustainable material use. Loft Mint adds a lighter, more expressive palette, while Suite introduces a more premium feel through brown microsuede and artificial leather detailing.
Technology and comfort features are generous across the range, with LED lighting, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, keyless start, wireless SmartLink, climate control and advanced driver assistance systems such as Front Assist, Lane Assist and Side Assist included as standard equipment. Higher trims introduce further enhancements such as satellite navigation, heated seats, a heated steering wheel, 360-degree parking assistance and expanded connectivity features.
The First Edition model sits at the top of the range, powered exclusively by the 55kWh battery with 211PS output. It adds distinctive styling details including Navajo Orange exterior accents, a two-tone black roof, exclusive 20-inch wheels and First Edition badging. Inside, orange stitching and seat belts, a sports steering wheel, black headlining and illuminated trim elements elevate the cabin into a more expressive, limited-run environment. It also includes convenience and technology packages as standard, with optional travel and lighting packs available.
With pricing stretching up to £31,450 OTR for the First Edition, the Epiq is positioned to bridge affordability and aspiration within the electric SUV segment. It reflects Škoda’s broader strategy of expanding its EV lineup while maintaining its hallmark balance of practicality, value and everyday usability in a rapidly evolving automotive landscape.
