Ford South Africa has unveiled the pricing for the eagerly awaited seventh-generation Mustang, set to make its debut in October 2024. This latest iteration of the storied American muscle car builds on over 60 years of legacy, combining exhilarating performance with modern features and a timeless design.
The new Mustang represents the pinnacle of Ford’s muscle car engineering. At its core is a formidable 5.0-litre V8 engine, delivering a driving experience that is both thrilling and refined. This engine, paired with a fighter jet-inspired digital cockpit, ensures that the Mustang is not just a car but an immersive experience. The vehicle’s bold exterior design retains the classic Mustang aesthetic while incorporating contemporary elements that highlight its advanced technology.
In South Africa, the Mustang GT Fastback 5.0L V8 10AT will be available for a Recommended Retail Price of R1,300,000, inclusive of VAT. This model comes standard with the Performance Pack, which includes a suite of track-focused features engineered to enhance driving dynamics and performance.
Ford South Africa is also offering a comprehensive warranty package with the Mustang GT. Buyers will benefit from a four-year/120,000 km Ford warranty, four-year/unlimited distance Roadside Assistance, and a five-year/unlimited distance corrosion warranty. For convenience and peace of mind, the recommended service interval is set at 15,000 km or annually, whichever comes first. Over-the-counter parts and service parts come with a two-year/unlimited distance warranty.
Additionally, the Mustang GT’s pricing includes a Ford Optional Service Plan, though customers can opt for extended coverage. Extended Ford Protect Service or Maintenance plans can be purchased, with warranties extendable up to seven years or 200,000 km, and Roadside Assistance can be extended for an additional one or two years.
