Gaydon, 30 April 2025 – Aston Martin has unveiled its latest ultra-luxury performance flagship SUV, the DBX S, elevating the acclaimed DBX lineup to thrilling new heights. Building upon the immense success of the DBX707, the new model blends increased performance, dramatic design updates, and intelligent weight reduction to deliver the most focused and dynamically capable SUV in Aston Martin’s history.
At the heart of the DBX S lies a further-evolved version of Aston Martin’s ferocious 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8. Engine enhancements—borrowed directly from the brand’s upcoming Valhalla supercar—include larger compressor wheel diameters and improved internal components. The result is an impressive 727PS (up from 707PS) and 900Nm of torque, enabling the DBX S to sprint from 0–62mph in just 3.3 seconds, while 0–124mph arrives 0.3 seconds faster than before. Top speed remains at an exhilarating 193mph.
The sonic signature of the DBX S has been amplified with a revised exhaust system that adds even more presence to the thunderous V8 soundtrack. Matched to Aston Martin’s 9-speed wet-clutch transmission, the SUV can send up to 100% of its torque to the rear wheels, offering a level of driving engagement few rivals can match. Gearshifts are now more aggressive, particularly in Sport and Sport+ modes, with adjusted upshift points to suit the higher rev ceiling.

Intelligent Weight Reduction with High-Performance Gains
While the DBX S brings more power to the table, it also sheds weight—up to 47kg, thanks to a suite of smart, lightweight options. Chief among these is the striking new carbon fibre roof, which not only cuts 18kg but also lowers the vehicle’s centre of gravity, enhancing handling and agility. For the first time in the segment, magnesium alloy wheels are available, reducing unsprung mass by 19kg for sharper steering and improved ride quality.
Further weight-saving measures include the deletion of roof rails and the option of a stunning polycarbonate honeycomb grille, intricately designed with over 25,000 facets. Not only does this unique grille reduce front-end weight, but it also pushes the mass rearward—ideal for high-performance handling.
Design That Demands Attention
The DBX S asserts its flagship status with a bold new design language. At the front, a black vaned grille dominates, while a honeycomb polycarbonate alternative draws visual inspiration from the limited-run DBS 770 Ultimate. A new splitter and redesigned DRLs give the SUV a commanding, motorsport-inspired face.
From the side, sharp new sills with functional upturned air splitters manage airflow, and optional carbon fibre details for mirrors, door sills, and side strakes add an extra layer of visual aggression. ‘S’ badging on the fenders—infused with red enamel and framed in bright or dark chrome—offers a nod to previous high-performance Aston Martins, such as the V12 Vantage S and Vanquish S.
But it’s at the rear where the DBX S makes its boldest visual statement: vertically stacked quad exhausts, gloss or matte finished, roar with authority. A newly sculpted rear diffuser and bumper complete the aggressive posture, while a new lower livery design—available in Rosso Corsa Red, Trophy Silver, or Podium Green—visually ties together the performance elements.
Sport Meets Style Inside the Cabin
Step inside, and the DBX S reveals a unique interior philosophy inspired by speed and precision. The signature herringbone pattern, standard on the seats, evokes forward momentum, widening as it ascends to suggest movement. If the carbon roof is specified, the herringbone motif is carried through the headlining as well.
The interior comes trimmed in lightweight Alcantara as standard, strategically blended with semi-aniline leather in high-wear areas for durability and comfort. For those seeking a more opulent feel, a full semi-aniline leather interior is also available. Red seatbelts and ‘S’ embroidery add to the exclusive feel, while an industry-first dual embossing technique etches the Aston Martin wings into the leather headrests with millimetre-perfect detail.
Treadplates and the engine plaque proudly bear the ‘S’ insignia, rounding off the bespoke theme.
Cutting-Edge Tech and Audiophile Acoustics
Underpinning the driver experience is Aston Martin’s fully in-house developed infotainment system, first introduced in the brand’s new-generation sports cars. The DBX S features a redesigned digital interface, seamlessly integrated into a refreshed cabin layout that prioritises clarity, connectivity, and control.
An 800-watt, 14-speaker Aston Martin Premium Audio system comes as standard, enhanced by QuantumLogic® surround sound processing. True audiophiles, however, may opt for the bespoke Bowers & Wilkins system, developed specifically for the DBX S to deliver unparalleled clarity and depth.
The ‘S’ Legacy Continues
From the 1953 DB3S to the more recent Vanquish S, the ‘S’ suffix has always stood for something special in the Aston Martin lineage. The DBX S proudly continues that tradition—fusing design, technology, and dynamics into a package that pushes the boundaries of what an ultra-luxury SUV can be.
As Aston Martin CEO Adrian Hallmark puts it, “The introduction of DBX S not only reaffirms our commitment to producing the most exciting, rewarding and beautiful cars, it also sends a powerful statement of intent about our ambitions—not just for DBX, but for the Aston Martin brand.”
