The Triumph stand at Motorcycle LiveTriumph Motorcycles and J&S Accessories have each been presented with a special award after their respective stands were voted the ‘best in show’ by visitors to last November’s Motorcycle Live. The news comes as show organisers MCI Exhibitions Ltd confirm that Motorcycle Live 2012 will go ahead from 24 November – 2 December at The NEC, Birmingham.

The 2011 show saw a 14% rise in attendance as motorcycle fans from across the UK flocked to see the latest models and accessories, meet their racing heroes and get involved in one of the six live interactive features on offer. Triumph Motorcycles certainly added to the exciting line-up of bikes on display with the UK debut of the much-anticipated Tiger Explorer and the high-specification new Speed Triple R.

The British manufacturer also launched a special edition Bonneville created in the image of the machine ridden by Steve McQueen in The Great Escape. The Triumph Bonneville T100 Steve McQueen Special Edition, displayed alongside Triumph’s entire 2012 range, proved popular with Motorcycle Live visitors and kept the stand busy throughout the nine-day show.

As part of ongoing research into Motorcycle Live, visitors were asked to rate which manufacturer and non-manufacturer stand gave them the best experience. While Triumph picked up the honours as the fans’ favourite manufacturer stand, J&S Accessories was rated as the best non-manufacturer stand.

One of the UK’s largest motorcycle clothing and accessories retailers with over 12 stores across the country, J&S bought a massive range of products to Motorcycle Live. Occupying over 400m2, the J&S stand was the place to visit for the best deals on the biggest motorcycle brands, from helmets and boots to jackets and gloves.

Finlay McAllan, Managing Director of MCI Exhibitions, said: “The standard of exhibitor stands was incredibly high this year and without doubt that contributed to the rise in visitor figures. I’d like to thank Triumph and J&S Accessories, who both put tremendous effort in to offering show-goers exactly what they want – impressive displays, a great range of products, motorcycle expertise and of course, in the case of J&S, a bargain or two! After the overall success of the 2011 show, we are very pleased to confirm the dates for 2012 and look forward to welcoming bike fans and their family and friends to the UK’s biggest motorcycle show.”

John Moir, General Manager of J&S Accessories, said: “We are very pleased to win this award, even more so because it is voted for by the public. We made the decision to invest much more in the show this year and despite the tough times we’re in, we had our biggest ever presence. We wanted to offer something for everyone and went for it big style so I’m really happy that it paid off. We had lots of positive comments about the stand during the show so to have that confirmed with this award is fantastic. We’re already looking forward to next year!”
