Sandton, South Africa – The 2026 Toyota Easter Festival is set to celebrate the artistry, athleticism, and unwavering bond between rider and horse at Kyalami Park Club from 28 March to 6 April. Now in its fifth year with Toyota South Africa Motors, the festival has grown into one of the most anticipated equestrian events on the South African calendar, combining elite competition with a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere.
Over ten days, more than 5,000 entries will take to the arena, showcasing skill across Dressage, Equitation, Showing, and Show Jumping. The festival promises electrifying moments as riders push for top honours, especially in the headline 1.50m Toyota SA Outdoor Grand Prix, set for Monday, 6 April at 14:00. The challenging two-round course, designed by Ryan Sander, will reward precision, speed, and strategic mastery.
Beyond the competition, the festival delivers a rich tapestry of attractions for visitors of all ages. Families can enjoy a Toyota vehicle parade, Easter egg hunts, food and market stalls, and a variety of entertainment for children, all with free entry. It’s an ideal destination for spectators eager to witness high-level equestrian sport while enjoying a festive, inclusive environment.
Heather Mpofu, Event Director at Kyalami Park Club, reflects on the event’s growth: “Toyota’s backing has allowed us to truly Dream Big. The competition will be fierce, the grounds pristine, and the vibes high. We’re proud to welcome new audiences to experience the sport at its finest, while supporting riders from juniors to adults.”
Glenn Crompton, Vice President of Marketing at Toyota South Africa Motors, echoes this sentiment: “The Toyota Easter Festival is a celebration of passion, precision, and performance. It has evolved into a world-class platform that nurtures talent, inspires young riders, and delivers unforgettable experiences for all spectators.”
In addition to the marquee events, Kyalami Park Club continues to invest in the future of the sport through the KPC Academy. Fifteen riders receive comprehensive training in horse care, show preparation, and competition strategy, equipping them with skills that extend far beyond the arena. Mpofu explains, “Our goal is to grow great riders and build better people – because equestrian is a career, not just a hobby.”
The Toyota Easter Festival 2026 promises to be a celebration of equestrian excellence, community spirit, and unforgettable family experiences, making it a highlight of South Africa’s sporting calendar.
