London, UK – 29 July 2025 — As the automotive world accelerates towards electrification, Suzuki is entering a bold new chapter with the launch of its first fully electric vehicle, the e Vitara. In a move that underscores the brand’s commitment to making electric mobility both accessible and seamless for its customers, Suzuki has announced Ohme as its new and exclusive home EV charging partner in the UK.
This strategic partnership sees Ohme’s award-winning smart chargers become the recommended home charging solution for all e Vitara buyers, available to view and order directly through Suzuki dealerships. With the collaboration, Suzuki customers will benefit from Ohme’s full-service offer — encompassing charger supply, professional installation, and comprehensive dealer support and training.
“As Suzuki’s first-ever electric car, the introduction of the e Vitara will be crucial for us in the UK and our partnership with Ohme will play an important part in that car’s success,” said David Kateley, Director of Automobile at Suzuki GB PLC. “Ohme’s cutting-edge technology will help to lower running costs for owners, while their commitment to customer service makes them an ideal match for us, improving the ownership experience of the e Vitara still further.”
Smart Charging for the Smart SUV
The new Suzuki e Vitara is set to be offered with a choice of two battery sizes — 49kWh and 61kWh — and will feature an impressive warranty package of up to 10 years or 100,000 miles, with battery coverage included. For owners, this translates to peace of mind and long-term value.
With Ohme’s dynamic charging technology, drivers will be able to unlock even greater efficiency and savings. The smart chargers use real-time data from the grid and are compatible with the UK’s most cost-effective EV energy tariffs — including the popular Intelligent Octopus Go — which offers rates as low as 7.0p/kWh.
To put that into perspective: fully charging a 61kWh e Vitara on this tariff could cost as little as £4.27, delivering up to 264 miles of WLTP-certified range. Ohme’s systems also allow drivers to automatically charge when renewable energy generation is highest, further reducing environmental impact and energy bills. For homes with solar panels, the “solar boost” function offers additional savings by prioritising clean energy generated on-site.

Elevating the EV Experience for Every Driver
For Suzuki, the collaboration with Ohme represents more than a supplier agreement — it’s a step towards enhancing the entire EV ownership experience. As the UK’s largest home EV charging company and the fastest-growing in Europe, Ohme brings a proven track record of customer satisfaction, innovation, and seamless installation service.
David Watson, CEO of Ohme, commented: “I’m delighted to announce this new collaboration with Suzuki. With Suzuki’s expertise in the four-wheel drive market, the e Vitara is a great choice for those wanting to combine 4×4 capability with electric motoring. We’re looking forward to introducing Suzuki’s customers to the benefits of dynamic charging and supporting its dealer network.”
The partnership also extends to Suzuki’s dealer teams, who will receive dedicated training and support from Ohme, ensuring they are equipped to guide customers through their home charging journey with clarity and confidence.
Charging Ahead
Ohme’s role as the official charger provider for Motability Operations — the UK’s largest fleet operator — and its recent accolades from Business Motoring (Best Electric Charging Point Provider and Best Electric Van Charging Point Provider) cement its reputation as a trusted and forward-thinking EV charging partner.
As Suzuki’s e Vitara prepares to make its mark on the EV landscape, the partnership with Ohme ensures the brand is just as focused on what happens beyond the showroom — delivering a smart, sustainable and customer-centric charging solution fit for the future.
