Edinburgh – Suzuki has added another feather to its cap, celebrating a prestigious accolade at The Scottish Car of The Year Awards 2025. The award, recognising the manufacturer’s outstanding commitment to Aftersales service, was presented to Suzuki GB PLC by the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers (ASMW) during the annual awards dinner on 27th November at the Dalmahoy Hotel.

The ASMW, comprised of 11 leading motoring journalists, evaluated manufacturers on the strength of their Aftersales operations, from head office support to dealer network standards. Suzuki was the clear standout, voted the overall winner for Best Manufacturer Aftersales Service, thanks to its dedication to exceptional customer care and industry-leading warranty offerings.

Commitment Beyond the Sale

While selling cars remains a core focus for all automotive brands, the ASMW emphasises that the post-purchase experience is equally important. ASMW President Ally Ballingall noted, “Selling cars is obviously very important to all manufacturers; however, the customer should also expect the best possible service in the years following their purchase.”

Suzuki’s success stems from its consistent focus on reliable and responsive support. The brand’s dealer network prioritises strong customer relationships, efficient repairs, and friendly, knowledgeable staff, all backed by comprehensive warranties that offer peace of mind.

A Warranty That Leads the Industry

A key differentiator for Suzuki is its 10-year / 100,000-mile service warranty. For all Suzuki owners, this warranty is free of charge and activates once the initial manufacturer warranty of three years / 60,000 miles expires, provided annual servicing is completed at an authorised Suzuki dealer. The warranty continues with each qualifying service until the vehicle reaches the 10-year or 100,000-mile limit.

Major vehicle components are covered, and if a customer sells their Suzuki within this period, the warranty can be transferred to the new owner at no extra cost – a testament to the brand’s customer-first philosophy.

Suzuki’s commitment extends to its electric vehicles, too. The recently launched e Vitara comes with up to 10 years EV battery warranty, combining an eight-year manufacturer warranty with a further two years activated through regular servicing.

Customer Retention Through Service Excellence

This focus on Aftersales service is not just about reputation – it directly contributes to Suzuki’s strong customer loyalty. Around 70% of Suzuki owners return to purchase another new Suzuki, demonstrating the lasting impact of a supportive dealer network and high-quality service standards.

By prioritising post-sale satisfaction and maintaining consistently high service standards, Suzuki continues to set the benchmark for Aftersales excellence, making this award a well-deserved recognition of its efforts.
