Fresh from Suzuki’s design studio, the popular Dzire sedan has received a subtle yet stylish update that promises to elevate the in-car experience for South African drivers. From November 2025, all Dzire models feature a sophisticated new black cabin, replacing the previous beige trim with an interior that’s as practical as it is fashionable.
The switch to black brings several real-world advantages. Known for their upmarket appeal, black interiors are less prone to showing dirt and staining, making them ideal for families, daily commuters, and ride-hailing professionals alike. Durable and timeless, the new cabin ensures the Dzire maintains its elegance even in the most demanding environments.
While the interior gets a classy refresh, specifications and pricing remain unchanged. Launched in May 2025, the fourth-generation Dzire continues to offer a modern, value-driven compact sedan experience built on Suzuki’s lightweight HEARTECT platform for improved driving dynamics and fuel efficiency.
The Dzire’s sleek exterior comes in seven colour options and houses a cabin inspired by the latest Swift, comfortably seating five adults with a 378-litre boot. Standard features across all models include digital air conditioning, front and rear USB ports, rear ventilation, parking sensors, hill hold control, and electric windows. The GL+ variant further enhances convenience with cruise control, a multifunction steering wheel, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a reverse camera—perfect for navigating busy city streets.
Under the bonnet, the Dzire is powered by Suzuki’s new 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine, delivering 60kW at 5,700rpm and 112Nm of torque at 4,300rpm. Drivers can choose between a five-speed manual or continuously variable transmission (CVT), with fuel efficiency reaching as low as 4.4l/100km. Safety remains a priority, with six airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, brake assist, rear ISOFIX anchors, and side-impact door beams, contributing to the Dzire’s five-star Global NCAP crash-test rating in India.
With its spacious interior, advanced features, and economical running costs, the Suzuki Dzire has long been a favourite among value-conscious South African buyers.
