Tank Sliders and Frame Skidders released at the NEC
R&G Racing has released two new motorcycle protection products to help riders save money in the event of a spill.

The world leader of motorcycle crash protection and the only such company whose products can qualify for insurance discounts, has responded to the change in motorcycle designs and listened to the demands of its customers when developing its Tank Sliders and Frame Skidders.
R&G

R&G’s new Frame Skidder is an alternative design to the company’s Aero Crash Protectors, giving a sleek look of protection for exposed naked bikes and easily nestled behind the fairing on sports or half-faired bikes.

Introduced on the new Aprilia V4 Tuono and RSV4 (£110), the subtle skidders are specifically developed for each machine and attach across the frame to prevent the chassis from making contact with the ground.

Made from extremely durable high-density Polyethylene (HDPE) – the same material as R&G’s award-winning Aero Crash Protectors – the new product is designed to wear in order to help slow a bike down if it is sliding.

Tank Slider

R&G’s Tank Sliders are designed to be subtle yet effective by protecting the protruding edges of the fuel tank in the event of a bike being crashed.

Airbox covers and fuel tanks are some of the most expensive bodywork parts to replace when damaged – even if buying used. With a new Ducati 1098S and Suzuki GSX-R1000 K9 tank costing £1359 and £649, respectively, the £65 (pair) sliders can save hundreds of pounds.

Available for a wide range of popular sports and naked bikes, R&G Tank Sliders are moulded to mirror the lines of the fuel tank and protect it by utilising a construction of superlight and super-strong carbon and Kevlar.

Frame Skidder

Finished off with an embossed R&G logo, the Sliders are supplied with a tube of silicone, needed to attach them to the tank. As long as the silicone is used, the guards can be removed without damaging paint and refitted or replaced, if need be.

Developed on track and now used by the California Superbike School, R&G Tank Sliders are available now for a wide variety of popular sportsbikes with additional fitments being offered continually.

R&G Tank Sliders range:

  • Aprilia RSV-4
  • Ducati 848/1098/1198
  • Kawasaki ZX-10 ’11-
  • MV Agusta F4 750 / 1000R / F4RR Corsa Corta
  • Suzuki GSX-R1000 K9-
  • Triumph Daytona 675/Street Triple/Street Triple R
  • Yamaha R6 ‘06-
  • Yamaha R1 ’09-
  • All priced £65 per pair, including VAT.
  • For more information, visit R&G at Motorcycle Live (Birmingham NEC) from November 19-27 on stand R505 (Hall 3) or go to www.rg-racing.com
