Goodwood, UK – July 7, 2025 – Renault is poised to deliver a thrilling blend of nostalgia and innovation at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, as its electrified icons – the Renault 4 and Renault 5 E-Tech electric – take centre stage alongside a show-stopping ensemble of motorsport legends and futuristic supercars.
Among the most anticipated highlights is the UK debut of the all-new Renault 4 E-Tech electric, a reinvention of the beloved classic that retains its adventurous spirit while embracing a new electric era. With orders now open, R Pass customers benefit from priority access and a limited-time three-year free servicing offer when financing through Mobilize Financial Services between 1–14 July.
The Renault 4 brings signature practicality and a rugged charm to the electric age. Its raised ground clearance, elongated wheelbase and retro-inspired cues – such as the illuminated single-piece front grille and iconic tri-element rear lights – make it a stand-out presence both on and off the stand.
Sharing the spotlight is the multi-award-winning Renault 5 E-Tech electric, fresh off its triumphant UK launch and already climbing the private EV registration charts. Festival-goers will witness the 5 in action as pop! Yellow and pop! Green models charge up the iconic 1.16-mile hillclimb course throughout the weekend, while also starring on Renault’s vibrant and forward-looking stand.
With prices starting from £22,995, the Renault 5 E-Tech electric is not only a design statement, but a compelling EV option for modern urban drivers. Visitors can look forward to test drives at UK retailers following its standout presence at Goodwood.

Renault’s electrified showcase doesn’t stop there. Making its first UK appearance, a full-scale design model of the exhilarating Renault 5 Turbo 3E will be on display. Slated for production in 2027 and priced from £140,000, the Turbo 3E is a bold, all-electric homage to Renault’s rallying heritage. Powered by two in-wheel rear motors producing a staggering 555 hp and 4,800 Nm of torque, the car sprints from 0–62 mph in under 3.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 167 mph. Limited to just 1,980 individually numbered units – honouring the original 1980 launch year of the Renault 5 Turbo – reservations for this electrified mini-supercar are now open.
Adding even more drama to the weekend, the Renault 5 Turbo 3E “Drifter” concept returns to the Goodwood hillclimb after its crowd-pleasing debut in 2023. Its futuristic silhouette and sideways flair offer a tantalising glimpse into Renault’s high-voltage design ambitions.
Renault’s celebration of heritage continues with the legendary Renault 5 Maxi Turbo, brought to life once more on Thursday with a live hillclimb run. Infamously piloted by rally legend Jean Ragnotti, the 1980s icon will thrill audiences with its trademark theatrics, spinning and sliding just as it did on the stages of old.
Completing the brand’s homage to its motorsport legacy is the Renault Classic collection, featuring three historic Formula One machines. The 1978 RS10, once raced by Jean-Pierre Jabouille, will be driven by his son Victor. The 1983 RE40, campaigned by Alain Prost, returns to life under the guidance of his son Nicolas Prost and Alain Serpaggi. And finally, the championship-winning B195, raced by Michael Schumacher, will be on static display – a powerful reminder of Renault’s world-beating pedigree.
With sell-out crowds expected and a truly electric atmosphere promised, Renault’s presence at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed will be unmissable – a heady fusion of retro cool, future tech, and motorsport legend that only Renault could deliver.
The Festival runs from Thursday 10 to Sunday 13 July, set against the storied backdrop of Goodwood House in West Sussex. Be ready to see the past, present, and future of Renault light up the hill in electrifying style.
