Until 26 April 2026, the défilé Renault® – the Carwalk opens its doors to the Pop Art Car exhibition, a unique dialogue between Pop Art, Urban Art, and the automobile. Conceived with the Renault Fund for Art and Culture, the exhibition transforms the car into a pop motif, a canvas for dreams, and a cultural icon, showcasing how design, creativity, and popular culture converge.
Renault’s place in collective imagination is celebrated through a journey spanning historical Pop Art to contemporary urban creation. Highlights include a never-before-seen 2008 work by Invader, paying tribute to Formula 1 racing through his iconic mosaics, as well as works by Victor Vasarely, Erró, Jean Faucheur, D*Face, Lee Quinones, John "Crash" Matos, and Arman’s Accumulation Renault n°115 (1967). These pieces reveal the enduring relationship between everyday objects, artistic reinterpretation, and cultural expression.
The exhibition also brings the car itself into the spotlight as a work of art. Architectural and design ingenuity merge in show cars that reimagine iconic Renault models. Mathieu Lehanneur’s SUITE N°4 concept transforms the Renault 4 into an open-air hotel suite. Pierre Gonalons reinterprets the Renault 5 into a 100% electric rolling jewel. Sabine Marcelis’ Twingo celebrates transparency, light, and modularity, while Dan Rawlings’ Bourgeon and Accrescent sculptures fuse nature and machine. Ora Ïto’s R17 Electric Restomod offers a retro-futurist vision, and the Renault 5 Turbo 3E show car combines gaming culture with high-performance electric architecture. The Filante Record 2025 demonstrates cutting-edge aerodynamics and energy efficiency, setting a 1,008 km electric record in under ten hours.
The Carwalk’s ramp, inspired by racing circuits and designed by Franklin Azzi, provides a spectacular exhibition space that brings together these artistic and automotive milestones. Visitors can experience art beyond gallery walls while exploring Renault’s industrial heritage and contemporary vision. The exhibition is accompanied by a vibrant program of live art performances, DJ sets, talks, and guided tours, all open to the public with free admission via online registration.
The Pop Art Car exhibition at Défilé Renault® celebrates the dynamic dialogue between popular culture, art, and mobility, reaffirming Renault’s unique position at the intersection of creativity, innovation, and cultural expression.
