FUJI SPEEDWAY, Japan – October 8, 2025 – For the first time, the Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer will grace Japanese soil, captivating enthusiasts with a fusion of classic design and cutting-edge engineering. The California-based luxury specialist, renowned for its bespoke restoration and reimagination of Porsche 911s, is presenting the latest evolution of its services at Cornes Day 2025, the annual automotive celebration hosted by the Cornes Group at the iconic Fuji Speedway on October 19.
This latest Singer creation draws inspiration from the rare wide-body variant of the 1980s 911 Carrera, a model celebrated for combining aggressive aesthetics with the naturally aspirated flat-six engine that defined an era. The reimagined 911 Carrera Coupe takes this legacy further, integrating a 4.0-litre flat-six engine developed in collaboration with Cosworth. Featuring 4-valves per cylinder, variable valve timing, water-cooled cylinder heads, air-cooled cylinders, and an electrically powered fan, this 420HP powerhouse embodies Singer’s dedication to naturally aspirated performance at the highest level.
The engineering goes beyond raw power. Built around the original Type 964 monocoque, the car benefits from chassis strengthening designed with input from Red Bull Advanced Technologies. Driving dynamics are equally sophisticated, with four-way, remotely adjustable dampers, electronic damping control, rear-wheel drive, and a manual six-speed gearbox. Advanced safety and control systems, including the latest ABS, traction control, and electronic stability systems developed with Bosch, are seamlessly integrated and paired with selectable drive modes to balance precision with exhilarating performance.
Rob Dickinson, Singer’s Founder, Executive Chairman, and Creative Director, explains the inspiration behind the project:
“In the 1980s you could order a new 911 Carrera with the pumped-up bodywork of the Turbo but powered by the company’s latest, naturally aspirated flat six. It became known as the Carrera with Super Sport Equipment. Our services reference this car and celebrate the era with a vision for an ultimate, naturally aspirated G model 911, reimagined for the twenty-first century.
At its heart is a remarkable flat-six, bringing together our learnings from the last fifteen years, and adding variable valve timing. The 911 has an incredible following in Japan, so we’re excited to be showing a Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer to enthusiasts here for the first time, and to be back with our friends at Cornes Group, who do such a wonderful job of supporting owners here.”
Seigo Hayashi, President of Cornes Group, added:
“We are thrilled to welcome the all-new Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer to Japan, where it will be revealed during our press conference and panel discussion, featuring Rob Dickinson, Singer Chief Test Driver Marino Franchitti, and Shiro Nakamura, former Design Chief for Nissan. This is the third world launch of Singer’s Carrera Coupe services, following UK and US debuts at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and THE QUAIL, Monterey Car Week.”
Cornes Day 2025 promises a dynamic showcase, combining static displays of Singer’s reimagined 911s, Classic restorations, and DLS projects, with live track demonstrations on the legendary Fuji Speedway.
