MONTEREY, California – August 13, 2025 – Singer has returned to The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, with one of its most anticipated creations to date: the first Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer to be shown in North America. Limited to just 100 commissions worldwide, this latest expression of Singer’s philosophy blends 1980s Porsche heritage with cutting-edge engineering and craftsmanship, offering a compelling vision of the ultimate naturally aspirated, driver-focused 911.
A Heritage Reborn
Singer’s new services draw inspiration from the rare wide-body variant of the 1980s 911 Carrera, known in period as the Carrera with Super Sport Equipment. True to its inspiration, the reimagined car is designed to thrill on both road and track, marrying the soul of a classic G model 911 with the precision of modern motorsport technology.
At the heart of the car lies a 4.0-litre, naturally aspirated flat-six, based on the Type 964’s engine and co-developed with Cosworth. The unit features four valves per cylinder, variable valve timing, water-cooled cylinder heads, air-cooled cylinders, and an electrically powered fan—innovations born from Singer’s learnings in the DLS Turbo program. The result is a formidable 420 horsepower and an 8,000rpm redline, accompanied by a titanium exhaust soundtrack that celebrates the purity of the naturally aspirated experience.
A six-speed manual gearbox, optimized for precise engagement, channels power to the rear wheels. For purists, a raised gear shifter with an exposed mechanism can be specified, underlining Singer’s obsession with mechanical beauty.
Engineered with Motorsport Precision
The car’s restoration begins with a donor Type 964 chassis, stripped back to its steel monocoque. From there, Red Bull Advanced Technologies applies its expertise in structural analysis to strengthen the chassis, enhancing torsional rigidity and creating a foundation worthy of the advanced suspension and braking systems to follow.
Carbon fibre bodywork, reimagined for aerodynamic performance, reduces weight and sharpens responses. The widebody form—offered with either a fixed or speed-activated rear wing—recalls the muscular stance of the 1980s original. Functional intakes and a deep front spoiler channel airflow with purpose, while period-inspired auxiliary driving lights can be specified to rise from the hood.
Dynamic control is delivered via four-way, electronically adjustable dampers, developed from Singer’s turbocharged projects, and a nose-lift system for practicality. Stopping power comes from optional carbon ceramic brakes, tucked behind 18-inch centre-lock wheels shod in Michelin Pilot Sport tyres. Drivers can choose from five selectable drive modes—Road, Sport, Track, Off, and Weather—balancing electronic intervention to suit conditions.

An Interior Crafted for the Connoisseur
The Quail show car demonstrates Singer’s mastery of leather artistry with a stitched and burnished seam technique borrowed from luxury leather goods. This painstaking process—requiring 400 hours per car—features in a Mars Pink and velvet corduroy interior that contrasts elegantly with the Celeste Passalacqua exterior. Every detail, from bespoke gauges to lightweight sports seats, reflects Singer’s dedication to timeless design and tactile satisfaction.
Technology is integrated with restraint, offering discreet navigation and Apple CarPlay connectivity without detracting from the analogue purity of the driving environment.
Exclusivity and Personalization
As with all Singer projects, every Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer is built to the exact specifications of its commissioning owner. From paint and trim to mechanical configuration, each car is a singular creation. Owners may even opt for interchangeable bodywork sets—touring or track-focused—delivered in bespoke flight cases for ultimate versatility.
Rob Dickinson, Singer’s Founder, Executive Chairman, and Creative Director, reflected on the company’s journey:
“In the 1980s, you could order a new 911 Carrera with the pumped-up bodywork of the Turbo but powered by the latest naturally aspirated flat six. Our services celebrate that era while reimagining the concept for the 21st century. This car embodies everything we’ve learned over the past 15 years.”
The Singer Experience
Since its founding in California in 2009, Singer has restored and reimagined more than 500 cars across its Classic, Classic Turbo, and DLS services. The introduction of the Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer marks the next chapter in this relentless pursuit of excellence.
With global support through its Global Partner Network, Singer ensures that ownership is as bespoke as the cars themselves, offering a deeply personal journey from commissioning to delivery.
