Blenheim Palace to Host Largest-Ever Porsche 911 Showcase at Salon Privé 2024

Salon Privé 2024 at Blenheim Palace to Celebrate Milestones of Porsche 911 Turbo and GT3

This August, the prestigious Salon Privé 2024 at Blenheim Palace will honor two significant milestones in the legacy of Porsche 911: 50 years of the iconic 911 Turbo and 25 years of the high-performance 911 GT3. The event, scheduled from August 28th to 31st, promises to be the grandest display of Porsche models in Salon Privé’s history, featuring 50 Turbos and 25 GT3s.

The pinnacle of the celebration will be the Salon Privé Club Trophy presented by Lockton on August 31st. This spectacular event will showcase a remarkable collection of rare and limited-edition Porsche 911 Turbos, including the very first UK-registered 911 GT3. Enthusiasts and collectors are invited to join the celebration, with space still available in the Porsche Paddock for those wishing to display their own vehicles.

A standout in the Porsche 911 Turbo display will be the exceptionally rare 964 Turbo S Leichtbau (Lightweight). This model, the first lightweight turbo produced by Porsche, is one of only 11 right-hand drive examples. With just 800 miles on the odometer, this Grand Prix White beauty, complete with Flamenco Red leather interior, purple wheel centers, and gold brake calipers, is a must-see.

The 911 GT3 celebration will highlight the model’s evolution, starting with the first UK-registered 996 GT3 Clubsport in Arctic Silver. Registered in July 1999, this pristine example is one of the final hand-assembled road-going Porsches by the company’s motorsport division, featuring only 45,000 miles on the clock. The display will also include various 997, 991, and 992 GT3 models, showcasing different specifications including Touring and RS versions.
