Motorcycle accessories manufacturer GIVI will be showcasing its new 2013 collection at Motorcycle Live, at the NEC in Birmingham from 24 November to 2 December. The new collection consists of helmets and an impressive range of hard and soft luggage.

Motorcycle Live Products

Accessories:

First up is a new series of waterproof smartphone and navigator holders, with a new quick lock/unlock system, suitable for tubular handlebars. This series is composed of four models; S951 – A smart phone holder developed for iPhone 4S, and in general other smart phones with a similar size (12x7cm). It is designed for vertical screen viewing, but it is also possible to mount it horizontally by adjusting the fitting device. S952/S953/S954 models are specifically designed for horizontal screen viewing, and suitable for screens of 3.5, 4.3 and 5 inches. They can be used with almost all devices available on the market.

All these models share the following features: sun visor, zip opening, EVA vibration-absorbing devices, exit for cables, transparent cover for touch screen controls, anti-rain cover and fixing system.

Hard Luggage:

The Trekker range introduces the new Outback side case for 2013. More squared in design and an alternative to the Trekker TRK33 and 46 side case, it’s aimed at BMW R1200GS or adventure touring riders who fell in love with that rugged and boxy design. Tough in construction, the Trekker Outback is perfect for luggage with specific protection needs. It has a side opening with a security lock, which allows complete removal of the lid and full access to the case. Fully weather resistant and waterproof, the case can be fitted on its own or as a pair, using GIVI’s new fitting system Monokey Cam-Side. It can also be mounted/removed from the bike and opened with the use of just one lock. There are two models available – 37 litres (495 x 387 x 246mm), 48 litres (495 x 387 x 306mm).

Soft Luggage:

GIVI’s Easy Bag range of soft luggage has four new models, thanks to the never-ending evolution of materials, shapes and different fitting solutions available. Already GIVI offers seven types of Easy Bag with standard tank bags, small tank bags, side panniers, backpack and a scooter tunnel bag. EA103 is the biggest and more flexible tank bag at 42 litres. It comes with magnets and allows for a three way spilt where the top two become a backpack and shoulder bag, the bottom can be used as a map holder. EA107 is a universal seat roll bag with a 33 litre capacity and universal fitting straps. It features three openings; one on top and two on the sides, making access into the bag easy. Extra straps allow it to be fitted to any GIVI top case with a luggage rack.

The EA108 is a compact waist bag, with an inner document compartment and rear pocket. The waist strap is adjustable and has reflective trims. Last but not least is the EA109, an accessible leg bag, featuring two pockets for everyday items (keys, wallet, phone, glasses), with reflective trims.

The Xstream Evo range has expanded from five to 11 models for 2013. Aimed mostly at the naked, sport and sport tourer market with innovative solutions. The six new models are; an extra large 60 litre capacity seat bag XS305, which is adaptable to most sport tourers on the market. Two expandable side pockets give extra room and create a tight-wrap around the seat shape. It has a main compartment that is big enough to fit two full face helmets. XS306 / XS307 / XS308 are three new tank bags all featuring GIVI’s patented Tanklock fitting system, that allows for an easy quick release with just a click, from a mounting ring on the fuel cap. The models are defined by their capacity 15, 20 and 25 litres.

The XS309 is a functional and useful waist bag with multiple compartments, ideal for touring or off-road riders. It also has a detachable smartphone holder. XS310 is an external cargo bag, originally designed to be paired with the new Trekker Outback case. But, is also suitable for any GIVI top case with a luggage rack. It fits directly to a top lip and has a capacity of 15 litres.

Helmets:

Three new models have been added to GIVI’s helmet range; 10.7 MINI-J is aimed specifically at tall wheel scooters whose owners have to deal with limited under seat space, the 10.7 MINI-J is designed to be fitted in the smallest seat compartment. Weighing in at 950grams, it features an anti-allergy, fully removable liner, and is available in sizes XL to XL. GIVI combine the need for improved safety and visibility with its high-vis yellow helmet, 10.8 Urban-J. The bright colour is not the only selling point for this helmet, it is very light and has a unique sizing system, with two sizes for M. This is made possible by two different shell sizes. Available in sizes XS to XL with M1 and M2.

Joining the helmet range with a bang is the 30.1 STREET-J. The Street-J has the popular wrapping shape of the top-line jet 20.5, but not the fibre composite shell – a technical difference that offers a top-notch helmet, without breaking the bank. Weighing 1300grams, it features an anti-allergy, full removal liner, and is available in sizes XS to XL. Last, but not least is the X.01 Tourer. A new model in GIVI’s innovative full face/open range. Any helmet in the X.01 family can be quickly transformed from a full-face to an open-face in a flash, with its removal chin guard. A unique trait of the helmet is its top spoiler, which like the chin guard can be removed quickly. It also has an advanced ventilation system, intergrated sun visor and Pinlock pins on the main shield. Available in sizes XS to XL.

On Monday 26 November at Motorcycle Live Julian Ryder will host a press conference talking about all the new 2013 products at 15.30.
