Johannesburg’s vibrant cultural scene came alive this past Saturday as Jetour South Africa hosted its inaugural Jetour Festival at the picturesque Casalinga venue in Muldersdrift. Blending South African musical excellence with automotive innovation, the event brought together 3 000 festival-goers for a day of rhythm, revelry, and remarkable vehicles.
From the infectious Afro-house beat of Osama to the indie anthems of Push Me to the Floor, the air was electric with music. Grammy Award-winner Zakes Bantwini, chart-toppers Mi Casa, indie legends The Parlotones, and soulful pop sensation Shekhinah delivered a powerhouse lineup that kept the crowd on its feet. As dusk fell, DJ Vin Deysel turned up the tempo, spinning dancefloor favourites that had the audience dancing under the stars.
But this wasn’t just a music festival—it was a celebration of Jetour’s South African story. Hundreds of Jetour vehicles flanked the venue, a striking visual display of the brand’s growing presence in the country since its debut in September 2024 with the Jetour Dashing and Jetour X70 Plus. Built on the brand’s signature “Travel+” philosophy, Jetour is fast becoming a name synonymous with style, performance, and lifestyle adventure.
“What a day! Incredible vibes, amazing food, and the music. Zakes Bantwini and the other acts absolutely killed it! Thanks @JetourSA for an unforgettable experience!” – Festival attendee on social media
The event was further energised by 947’s live broadcast, with the always-charismatic Zweli Mbhele of Afternoons with Zweli fame acting as MC, weaving the day together with his signature flair and charm.
And Jetour didn’t stop at great music and mouth-watering food. A series of prize giveaways kept excitement levels high, with one lucky guest winning a Jetour to drive for a year, alongside other premium prizes including a Vivo smartphone and a weekend getaway sponsored by ANEW Hotels & Resorts.

Speaking on the day’s success, Nic Campbell, Vice President of Jetour South Africa, remarked:
“This event truly reflects our commitment to creating memorable experiences that go beyond just driving – it’s about building lasting connections and celebrating the Jetour community. We are grateful for the support we’ve received and look forward to many more customer events like this in the future.”
A Community in Motion: Introducing the Jetour Owners Club
In a key announcement during the festival, Campbell introduced the Jetour Owners Club South Africa, connecting local owners with a global network of Jetour enthusiasts. With 19 clubs globally and over 60 000 members, this new South African chapter will unlock a host of exclusive benefits—ranging from service and accessory discounts to priority after-sales support, branded merchandise, and unique partner rewards in retail, hospitality, and travel.
“In 2024 alone, content created by club members generated over 179 million views. This type of user-driven engagement is one of the reasons Jetour has grown so rapidly as a new brand,” said Campbell.
Eyes on the Road Ahead
With two new SUV models—the Jetour T1 and T2—slated for release later this year, the brand is poised to deepen its impact on South Africa’s dynamic motoring landscape. Judging by the turnout and enthusiasm at this weekend’s Jetour Festival, the road ahead is lined with promise.
Whether you’re a lover of live music, an adventurer at heart, or someone seeking a more connected driving experience, Jetour South Africa is more than just a car brand—it’s a lifestyle in motion.
