Jetour South Africa marked a significant milestone in its local journey with the hosting of its inaugural Dealer of the Year Awards on Tuesday evening at the SunBet Arena at Time Square in Pretoria. The event brought together the brand’s rapidly expanding national dealer network to celebrate exceptional performance, reflect on a year of strong growth, and reinforce the company’s long-term commitment to building trust in the South African market.
Since entering South Africa in September 2024, Jetour has steadily established itself as an emerging force in the automotive landscape, driven by a structured, subsidiary-led local approach. The awards served not only as a celebration of achievement, but also as a reaffirmation of the brand’s focus on service excellence, operational consistency and customer-centric values across its growing footprint.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Andy Yuan from Jetour Auto highlighted the importance of the dealer network in the brand’s strategy and growth. He noted that nearly 60 carefully selected dealerships now operate within the South African network, each held to rigorous standards designed to ensure consistent customer experience and operational quality. He further emphasised Jetour’s “service first” philosophy, underpinned by 100% parts availability and a two-hour technical support response time, positioning aftersales capability as a key differentiator in a highly competitive market.
The Dealer of the Year Awards recognised excellence across a broad range of disciplines, reflecting the full ecosystem required to deliver a strong automotive retail experience. These included showroom presentation, after-sales service, technical expertise, parts management, sales performance, digital marketing capability, customer experience and leadership excellence.
Among the standout achievements of the evening, Jetour Alberton secured the prestigious Category A Dealer of the Year title, reaffirming its position as one of the brand’s top-performing large dealerships. The dealership also delivered a notable double win, with Pieter Els named Sales Manager of the Year and Dirkie Grobler awarded Dealer Principal of the Year, underscoring its strength across leadership and operational execution.
In Category B, Jetour Midrand emerged as a key performer, taking home Dealer of the Year honours while also earning recognition for Luthando Ngcogo as Sales Manager of the Year. Jetour Polokwane completed the top-tier Dealer of the Year trio in Category C, reinforcing the depth of performance across smaller dealership operations.
Individual excellence was strongly highlighted in the Technician of the Year category, where Avishkar Rampal of Jetour Umhlanga, Lee Mmakola of Jetour Bryanston and Naseem Samsodien of Jetour Tokai were recognised for Category A, B and C respectively. Their achievements reflect the technical backbone of the network, where precision, expertise and problem-solving remain essential to customer satisfaction and long-term brand trust.
Across the wider awards programme, Jetour also recognised excellence in showroom experience, with Jetour Pretoria, Bloemfontein and East London taking top honours in their respective categories for delivering strong customer engagement and brand presentation. Service and aftersales leadership was acknowledged through awards to Jetour Umhlanga, Secunda and Empangeni, while parts excellence was awarded to Jetour Alberton, Bryanston and East London.
Digital capability and modern marketing execution were also in focus, with Jetour Pretoria recognised for its strength in digital and social media marketing, while Jetour Hatfield was awarded for customer experience excellence. Jetour Pinetown secured the best dealer marketing award, highlighting the importance of converting visibility into measurable engagement and sales outcomes.
Beyond individual dealership performance, broader ecosystem contributions were also celebrated. Super Group was named Outstanding Dealer Group of the Year, with Melissa Grobbelaar recognised as Marketing Champion of the Year, underscoring leadership and innovation at group level. WesBank received the Trusted Partner Award for its long-standing collaboration and support within the Jetour network. Jetour Menlyn was also recognised as Rookie Dealer of the Year, demonstrating rapid establishment and strong early results within the network.
Top individual sales performers were also celebrated across categories, with Jaqueline Teunissen of Jetour Menlyn, Aarif Rasool of Jetour Bryanston and Xolani Mathebula of Jetour Mbombela named Top Sales Executives of the Year. Meanwhile, rising talent was acknowledged through the Best Improved Sales Executive awards, reflecting significant growth and development across multiple dealerships.
Nic Campbell, Vice President of Jetour South Africa, reinforced that customer service remains the foundation of the brand’s value proposition. He emphasised that sustainable success in a competitive and evolving market depends not only on product strength, but on the quality of the ownership experience delivered at every touchpoint. He further noted that Jetour’s progress in South Africa has been driven by collaboration across its dealer ecosystem, supported by strong aftersales infrastructure, parts availability and a shared commitment to continuous improvement.
As Jetour continues to expand its presence in South Africa, the inaugural Dealer of the Year Awards signal more than recognition of past performance. They mark the strengthening of a national network built on accountability, capability and customer trust, setting a clear benchmark for the road ahead.
