R&G has released a range of its classic damage protection products and some completely new styling bolt-ons for the current (2008 on) Triumph Bonneville and Thruxton.

Developed specifically for the two Triumph twins, the British firm offers its Crash Protectors, Bar End Sliders, Fork Protectors and Tail Tidy along with its all-new Bash Plate, Instrument Fascia and Regulator/Rectifier Bracket.

The Bash Plate is a new-for-2012 product from R&G. Protecting the underside of the twin cylinder engine and frame from damage and road debris, the 3mm thick Aluminium plate is powder coated in black for a durable finish.

The stylish Instrument Fascia relocates the ignition key from the fork leg to in front of the top yoke and repositions the speedo and rev counters to a flatter profile for a more retro look. Made from aluminium, the top section of the facia has a brushed finish and the bottom bracket is anodised black for durability and a clean look.

The Regulator/Rectifier Bracket allows this part of the Triumphs to be relocated from under the bottom of the yoke to the frame rails, allowing more clearance for fork travel, especially if the owner wants to lower the front end.

On a protection front, R&G’s Crash Protectors – in the ‘classic’ round shape – attach to the front engine mount to help prevent the engine cases from making contact with the ground.

Crafted from high-density Polyethylene (HDPE), the award-winning bobbins are designed to wear and not shatter in the event of a crash. R&G also utilises a particular grade of steel bolts that help absorb an impact by bending, rather than snap or twist its mounting point on the bike. The Fork Protectors and Bar End Sliders offer a similar job at other expensive to replace areas on the bikes.

R&G Triumph Bonneville/Thruxton (2008 on) range: – Bar End Sliders £25.99 – Bash Plate £64.99 – Crash Protectors (Classic Style) £119.99 – Exhaust Protector £27.99 – Fork Protector £30.99 – Instrument Fascia £64.99 – Oil Cooler Guard (Bonneville 2006-on only) £40.99 – Regulator/Rectifier Bracket £24.99 – Shocktube £25.49 (two needed per bike) – Tail Tidy £104.99 (Supplied with replacement rear light, ’04 onwards)

To see the full range of R&G products, go to rg-racing.com or visit them at Motorcycle Live (motorcyclelive.com), Birmingham NEC, from November 24 to December 2 at Stand 2B10 Hall 2.
