London – From September 10 to 14, the verdant fairways of Wentworth Club will once again play host to the BMW PGA Championship, a cornerstone of Europe’s golfing calendar and the Flagship Event of the DP World Tour. With more than 100,000 spectators expected across five thrilling days, the tournament promises world-class golf, star-studded appearances, live music, and an immersive celebration of BMW innovation.
This year, the BMW PGA Championship doubles as a crucial dress rehearsal for Team Europe ahead of the 45th Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black, Long Island, New York, in two weeks’ time. Eleven members of the European Ryder Cup squad will be in action at Wentworth, led by captain Luke Donald (ENG) and featuring Masters champion Rory McIlroy (NIR) and FedExCup winner Tommy Fleetwood (ENG). They will join defending champion Billy Horschel (USA), and a field that reads like a gallery of golfing royalty. Hideki Matsuyama, the 2021 Masters winner from Japan, will make his debut at Wentworth, while other Major champions including Jon Rahm (ESP), Patrick Reed (USA), Adam Scott (AUS), Danny Willett (ENG), Wyndham Clark (USA), Matt Fitzpatrick (ENG), Pádraig Harrington, Shane Lowry (both IRL), and Justin Rose (ENG) will also compete.
The Championship’s excitement traditionally begins to simmer on Wednesday with the Celebrity Pro-Am, a fan-favourite that combines sport with glamour. This year’s line-up spans sports and entertainment luminaries: three-time tennis Grand Slam champion Andy Murray (SCO), Formula 1 sensation Lando Norris (ENG), football legends Gareth Bale (WAL) and Stephanie Houghton, rugby stars Owen Farrell and Henry Pollock, and singer Tom Grennan (ENG) will all join the professional golfers for a lively day on the greens.

As play progresses into the weekend, the Festival of Golf fully comes alive. Live concerts form the heartbeat of the event’s atmosphere, with British band Razorlight taking to the Show Stage in the Championship Village on Saturday and singer Ella Henderson closing the tournament with a spellbinding performance on Sunday. The blend of sport, music, and festivity creates a truly unique experience for fans of all ages.
This year also marks a milestone for BMW enthusiasts: the new all-electric BMW iX3 makes its UK debut at Wentworth as the Hole-in-One prize on the 14th hole. The iX3, the first model of BMW’s innovative Neue Klasse, made its world premiere in Munich just days ago. Boasting a range of up to 805 kilometres (500 miles) and ultra-fast charging capable of replenishing 372 kilometres (231 miles) in just ten minutes, the vehicle heralds a new era of electrified ‘Sheer Driving Pleasure’. With a design and technology leap so pronounced, the new iX3 feels as though an entire model generation has been skipped.
Visitors will have the opportunity to view the iX3 at the heart of the Championship Village, alongside themed BMW areas celebrating BMW M, 50 Years of the BMW 3 Series, MINI, Ryder Cup photo opportunities, and the new BMW Golfsport Collection by Puma. BMW owners enjoy a host of exclusive perks, including dedicated parking, shuttle access to the main entrance, fast-lane entry, and access to the BMW Owners’ Terrace at the 11th hole, as well as reserved seating on the 14th green grandstand.
As the world’s elite golfers descend on Wentworth, the 2025 BMW PGA Championship is shaping up to be more than a tournament—it is a festival of sport, music, and automotive innovation. With Ryder Cup preparations underway, celebrity appearances, and the electric dawn of the BMW iX3, Wentworth is set to deliver five days of unforgettable experiences.
