Munich/Cannes – For the third consecutive year, BMW is proud to be the Official Automotive Partner of the Cannes Film Festival, held from May 14 to 25, 2024. The festival, now in its 77th year, will see BMW continue to provide an exclusive premium shuttle service with its latest luxury vehicles, ensuring top-tier mobility for stars, VIPs, and festival organizers alike.
During the event, BMW will not only focus on transportation but also on showcasing its cutting-edge vehicle technology. Building on the success of last year’s BMW Films premiere, “The Calm,” this year will feature the debut of the BMW XM Mystique Allure. This special model, developed in collaboration with British supermodel Naomi Campbell, promises to be a highlight, reflecting both Campbell’s iconic style and BMW’s innovative design.
The Cannes Film Festival attracts a global audience, making it an ideal platform for BMW to display its newest luxury-segment vehicles. The fleet of over 200 vehicles will include the all-electric BMW i7, iX, and i5, as well as the BMW XM equipped with a plug-in hybrid drive system, providing emission-free mobility around the glamorous locales of Cannes.
This year’s collaboration between BMW and Naomi Campbell builds on their previous partnership with the BMW XM’s “Dare to be You” campaign. Campbell, a renowned supermodel and influential figure in fashion, brings a unique vision to the BMW XM Mystique Allure, set to be unveiled on May 15. Her efforts in promoting diversity in fashion and creative industries have established her as a pivotal figure in nurturing new talent.
The BMW XM itself is a testament to luxury and performance. Available in models powered by either a robust six-cylinder in-line engine or a dynamic petrol V8, the BMW XM showcases an M HYBRID drive system. In its Label Red version, the vehicle achieves impressive efficiency and power, making it the most potent series-produced model in the history of BMW M GmbH, epitomizing the blend of high performance and luxury.
