(Crewe, 7 November 2025) — Bentley Motors has revealed a uniquely crafted Bentayga EWB Azure dedicated to commemorating Remembrance Day, marking the fourth bespoke Remembrance Car developed by the marque’s design team in partnership with BeReady, Bentley’s colleague-led network supporting veterans and reservists. This year’s tribute carries profound significance, reflecting on the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and honouring the 17 colleagues who tragically lost their lives when a bomb struck the Crewe site during construction of the Merlin aero engine.
Designed with meticulous emotional intent, the 2025 Remembrance Bentayga EWB Azure stands as a moving symbol of collective memory at Bentley’s Remembrance event attended by dignitaries from the Ministry of Defence, the Royal British Legion and Crewe Town Council. From here, the commemorative car will travel across the UK, supporting remembrance initiatives in local communities, including the Race of Remembrance in Anglesey.
A Design Rooted in History and Humanity
Finished in Satin Artica White, the one-off Bentayga EWB Azure showcases emotive artistry that pays homage to both Bentley’s heritage and the bravery of those who served. A striking aircraft silhouette appears just behind the wing vent—an elegant nod to the aviation roots of the Merlin engine—while poppies cascade from the aircraft along the flanks of the vehicle. The flowers grow in size as they descend, representing poppies falling from the sky and evolving into the symbol of remembrance recognised across the world.
Metallic gold initials adorn the car’s pillars, each marking one of the 17 individuals who lost their lives at the Crewe factory in December 1940. The number 85, commemorating the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, is proudly displayed on the grille. Inside, bespoke poppy embroidery reinforces the poignant theme, creating a cabin environment that reflects reverence as much as craftsmanship.
Robin Page, Director of Design at Bentley Motors, described the significance of this year’s project:
“This annual project is one of the most meaningful for our team, a symbol of our collective memory and the sacrifices made by countless individuals. Every detail of the Bentayga – from the cascading poppies to the gold initials – honours those who served and ensures their legacy continues to inspire through the design.”
Honouring Service Through Community and Craft
For Bentley’s BeReady network—one of the company’s five Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging networks—the Remembrance Car is a powerful expression of shared heritage and reflection. The group provides support for veterans and reservists across the organisation, and this year’s project carries a deeply personal meaning for many of its members.
Chris Cole, Product Line Director, emphasised Bentley’s ongoing commitment:
“Bentley continues to show its respect and commitment to the armed forces around the world, and our colleagues at Crewe through our BeReady network. We were proud to be awarded the silver status for the UK’s Armed Forces Covenant this year, and this year’s Remembrance will pay particular focus to the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, and the sad loss of 17 Rolls-Royce and Bentley colleagues following a bombing of the Crewe site in December 1940.”
A Journey of Reflection Across the United Kingdom
The Remembrance Bentayga’s public journey begins in Crewe, where it will be presented at a series of local remembrance events, reinforcing Bentley’s bond with its home community. Over the weekend, it will take on a highly visible role at the Race of Remembrance in Anglesey, serving as the official course car for an event created by Mission Motorsport to unite participants in tribute and reflection.
On 11 November, the car will return to Bentley headquarters, where colleagues will gather for a moment of silence and remembrance. The vehicle’s commemorative tour concludes on 18 November, when it is displayed at the His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire Awards, representing Bentley’s ongoing dedication to honouring the Armed Forces and those who continue to serve.
