Berlin, January 21, 2026 – A new chapter in Audi’s motorsport legacy was written on Tuesday evening as the Audi Revolut F1 Team made its first public appearance in Berlin. Nearly 400 guests gathered at the iconic Kraftwerk event location to witness a historic moment for the four rings: the unveiling of the team, its race livery, driver overalls, and official clothing.
“Today, a lot of pieces of the puzzle are coming together,” said Gernot Döllner, CEO of AUDI AG and Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi Motorsport AG. “It’s impressive to see how the intensive preparation is paying off and the performance of those involved is becoming evident. For the first time, the full power of the project is on display. We are ready and excited to inspire people around the world by taking part in Formula 1.”
Audi is set to make its debut in the pinnacle of motorsport on March 8 in Australia. The Audi R26, powered by the in-house AFR 26 Hybrid power unit developed at Neuburg an der Donau, completed its first chassis integration before Christmas at the Hinwil facility and underwent its initial rollout at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya on January 9.
The 2026 Formula 1 season brings the sport’s most significant technical transformation in decades. The R26 features active aerodynamics with adjustable front and rear wings, replacing the Drag Reduction System with a new ‘boost mode’ that delivers up to 350 kW of additional electric power, complementing the 1.6-litre V6 turbo engine running on sustainable fuel. Audi is partnering exclusively with bp to support this transition to sustainable performance.
Berlin’s unveiling also highlighted the team’s identity beyond the racetrack. Team Principal Jonathan Wheatley and Head of Audi F1 Project Mattia Binotto presented the new team clothing and driver overalls, to be worn by Audi drivers Gabriel Bortoleto from Brazil and Germany’s Nico Hülkenberg throughout the 2026 season. A fan collection, available from February 19 via the team’s website and adidas, completes the coordinated visual identity, featuring a distinct color palette and custom font family that extends across social media and race-day appearances.
The event at the former Mitte heating plant offered a dynamic preview of Audi’s Formula 1 world, including immersive shows, historic race cars, and the RS e-tron GT performance, demonstrating the brand’s cutting-edge technology and power output of 680 kW—nearly matching the Audi R26.
The next milestone for the team is the shakedown of the new generation Formula 1 cars, scheduled behind closed doors in Barcelona from January 26–30. Official test sessions in Bahrain will follow in February, marking the final preparations ahead of Audi’s inaugural Grand Prix.
Formula 1 marks a strategic milestone in Audi’s technological, cultural, and entrepreneurial evolution. Motorsport has long been at the heart of Audi’s DNA, driving innovation from quattro all-wheel drive to hybrid and electric powertrains. With the R26, Audi aims to continue this legacy, combining performance, sustainability, and global reach to inspire fans and stakeholders alike.
Alongside the team presentation, Audi Revolut F1 Team’s new Content Hub went live, offering media access to exclusive news, insights, and race weekend updates at contenthub.audif1.com.
Audi’s entry into Formula 1 is more than a competition—it’s a declaration of intent: to race at the highest level while shaping the future of motorsport with innovation, sustainability, and a bold new identity.
