The updated Audi Q4 e-tron has rolled into the UK market with a steadier stride and a sharper edge, bringing a thoughtful mix of improved range, upgraded technology and a more refined design language. It arrives as part of a broader push from Audi to strengthen its electric line-up, with pricing starting at £46,260 OTR for the SUV and £48,160 OTR for the Sportback, and first customer deliveries expected later in the summer.
This refreshed generation of the Audi Q4 e-tron focuses on the small but meaningful details that shape daily use, rather than chasing reinvention for its own sake. Range now stretches up to 360 miles on a single charge in the most efficient configuration, while faster DC charging and revised powertrain tuning make longer journeys less of a planning exercise and more of a natural extension of driving. The introduction of bidirectional charging also marks a notable step forward, allowing the vehicle to support energy flow in both directions and hinting at a future where EVs play a more active role in home energy ecosystems.
Under the skin, power outputs span from 204 PS in rear-wheel-drive form up to 340 PS in quattro all-wheel-drive specification, with the quickest version completing the 0–62 mph sprint in 5.4 seconds. The balance remains firmly in favour of comfort and composure, yet there is enough urgency when called upon to remind the driver that this is no passive commuter machine.
The design evolution is subtle but effective, giving the Q4 e-tron a cleaner and more assertive stance. The Sportback variant continues to lean into a more coupe-inspired silhouette, while both body styles benefit from refined lighting elements and a more confident front-end presence. Inside, the cabin carries Audi’s familiar digital-first approach, anchored by a 12.8-inch MMI Navigation Plus display and an 11.9-inch Virtual Cockpit, supported by wireless smartphone integration and twin inductive charging pads that keep clutter to a minimum.
A restructured trim line-up brings clearer identity across the range, beginning with Sport, moving through S line and Black Edition, and culminating in the flagship Vorsprung specification. Each step adds a distinct character without losing the core sense of refinement that defines the model.
The Sport specification sets the foundation with 19-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting and a clean, uncluttered interior that prioritises comfort and usability. Heated front seats, three-zone climate control and ambient lighting create a calm cabin environment, while the dual-screen digital setup ensures the technology remains intuitive rather than overwhelming.
S line builds on this with a more dynamic character, adding 20-inch alloy wheels, sport suspension and progressive steering. The interior shifts towards a darker, more focused mood, with sport seats, aluminium detailing and a flat-bottom steering wheel that subtly encourages a more engaged driving style.
Black Edition introduces a stronger visual identity, replacing chrome accents with gloss black detailing and adding Audi Sport wheels for a more commanding road presence. The cabin is enhanced with electrically adjustable front seats, heated rear seating and upgraded materials that deepen the sense of comfort and quality.
At the top of the range, Vorsprung brings together the most advanced elements of the Q4 e-tron in one fully equipped package. Matrix LED headlights and OLED rear lighting give it a distinctive signature after dark, while a panoramic glass roof opens up the cabin space. Inside, premium SONOS audio, a passenger display and dynamic ambient lighting elevate the experience further, alongside advanced driver assistance systems such as adaptive cruise assist plus and an augmented reality head-up display.
According to Audi UK leadership, the model continues to perform strongly in a highly competitive electric vehicle market, building on its position as one of the brand’s most successful EVs in the country. With its blend of improved range, faster charging and expanded technology, the latest Audi Q4 e-tron does not attempt to rewrite the formula so much as quietly strengthen it, making an already proven electric SUV feel more complete and more capable in everyday life.
