Against the mirror-smooth waters of Lake Como, where the landscape seems permanently dressed for a concours, Broad Arrow Auctions is preparing to assemble one of the most spectacular modern hypercar collections ever offered at auction. Taking place at Villa Erba from 16–17 May 2026, and held in partnership with BMW AG as part of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, the sale brings together machines that blur the line between engineering achievement and rolling sculpture.
At the centre of attention is the extraordinary 2018 Pagani Zonda 760 Unica Roadster, a one-off creation from Horacio Pagani’s most obsessive era of design. Finished in Blue Carbon with a distinctive blue-and-white interior, it carries the unmistakable presence of Pagani’s 7.3-litre Mercedes-AMG V12, an engine known as much for its operatic character as its output. With only 2,616 kilometres recorded and the added provenance of Horacio Pagani himself having driven it at a private owners’ event in Switzerland, it stands as one of the most desirable Zonda commissions ever to leave San Cesario sul Panaro.
Ferrari’s V12 mastery arrives in the form of the 2023 Ferrari 812 Competizione, one of just 999 built. Presented in an elaborate four-layer Green Jewel finish with Bianco Cervino and Nero D.S. striping, it is a study in controlled aggression. Carbon fibre accents, forged diamond-finish wheels, and a racing-focused Alcantara interior underline its dual personality as both a road-going grand tourer and a track-honed expression of Ferrari’s naturally aspirated philosophy. With just 673 kilometres, it remains in near-delivery condition.
The Prancing Horse’s modern hybrid future is represented by the 2022 Ferrari SF90 Spider, offered without reserve. Finished in Verde Zeltweg over Cuoio leather and Alcantara, this Netherlands-delivered example combines a twin-turbocharged V8 with three electric motors to produce more than 985 horsepower. With only 450 kilometres from new, it showcases Ferrari’s transition into electrified performance without losing its emotional intensity, offering open-top theatre at extreme speed.
Lamborghini brings both heritage and reinvention into focus. The 2022 Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 reimagines one of the most iconic silhouettes in automotive history, here finished in the rare Luci del Bosco shade with matte bronze wheels and a bespoke Bianco Leda interior. One of only five in this specification, and showing just 124 kilometres, it channels the spirit of the original Countach through a modern hybrid V12 platform.
Yet it is the 2009 Lamborghini Murciélago LP640-4 Coupé that resonates most deeply with analogue purists. One of only 88 equipped with a six-speed gated manual transmission, and believed to be the only example finished in Celeste Phoebe blue, it represents the final chapter of Lamborghini’s naturally aspirated V12 era. With Ad Personam detailing, carbon ceramic brakes and a glass engine cover, it delivers a driving experience increasingly absent from the modern supercar landscape.
Together, these vehicles form a catalogue that reads less like an auction listing and more like a curated exhibition of automotive milestones. As Broad Arrow Auctions returns for its second official Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este sale, expectations are high among collectors who view these events not simply as transactions, but as opportunities to secure pieces of cultural and mechanical history.
From Pagani’s handcrafted extremism to Ferrari’s evolving performance philosophy and Lamborghini’s emotional defiance of digitalisation, Villa Erba becomes more than a venue. It becomes a stage where the most evocative expressions of modern motoring briefly gather before disappearing into private collections once again.
