Yokohama, Japan – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Nissan Motorsports & Customizing Co., Ltd. (NMC) have revealed that the new Patrol NISMO will serve as a First Rescue Operation (FRO) vehicle in the 2026 Super GT series. Making its track debut at Round 1 in Okayama International Circuit, the Patrol NISMO will be officially handed over on race day, April 12.
FRO vehicles are an essential part of race safety, ensuring drivers, medical teams, and rescue staff can reach incidents swiftly and safely. The Patrol NISMO brings the legendary capability of the Patrol nameplate to the track, combining motorsport-tuned precision with the robustness expected from an SUV. Its purpose-built performance ensures it can respond with confidence under the most demanding conditions.

Under the hood, the NISMO variant is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo engine delivering 365 kW (495 hp) and 700 Nm of torque. Aerodynamic enhancements and a dedicated suspension setup allow the Patrol NISMO to accelerate sharply and handle responsively, proving that size does not compromise agility.
Yutaka Sanada, President and CEO of NMC, said, “The new Y63 Patrol NISMO integrates the technologies of our motorsports and customization divisions, making it a model that truly embodies NMC. We are honored it will serve as a FRO vehicle for SUPER GT—one of the world’s premier GT racing series. Its exceptional performance and reliability will, without doubt, contribute to swift track rescue operations.”
With its motorsport-inspired engineering and SUV versatility, the Patrol NISMO is poised to become an indispensable asset on the Super GT circuits, demonstrating that high-performance capability and safety can go hand in hand.
