Low-Mileage Ferrari 275 GTS, 365GT 2+2, and 250 GT California Inspire First Wave of Auction Classics
Testarossa Collection Celebrates 40 Years of Ferrari’s Legendary Supercar
Monaco, 14 May 2024 – In anticipation of its L’AstaRossa™ auction on June 8th, Monaco Car Auctions has unveiled an impressive lineup of early consignments. Featuring a blend of iconic V12-engined sportscars and a comprehensive collection of Testarossas, this sale promises to captivate Ferrari enthusiasts and collectors alike.
Leading the lineup are three exceptional V12 sportscars from the 1960s. The Ferrari 275 GTS, the last model equipped with Maranello’s famed ‘Colombo’ V12, is a standout. The 1965 example, Ferrari Classiche certified, is the 29th unit produced and boasts remarkably low mileage of just 3,150km. This Blu Chiaro beauty, fully restored in 2008, has graced several prestigious events, including the Concours Villa d’Este.
Accompanying the 275 GTS is a meticulously recreated 1959 Ferrari 250 GT California Inspiration. Engineered by Mabert s.r.l. in Turin, this faithful replica of one of Ferrari’s most celebrated models offers collectors an accessible route to California-inspired ownership. The original 250-series, renowned for their versatility and performance, remain some of the most coveted vehicles in automotive history.
The third gem is a 1968 Ferrari 365GT 2+2, with just 11,800km on the odometer. Finished in Pelle Beige with contrasting ‘blu’ hide, this grand tourer also holds the Ferrari Classiche certification, further enhancing its desirability.

Marking the 40th anniversary of the Testarossa, the L’AstaRossa™ sale will showcase a complete set of these quintessential 1980s supercars. Highlights include an early 1985 Testarossa ‘Monospecchio,’ a rare single-mirror model finished in Rosso Corsa. This is complemented by a 1987 double-mirror version in Giallo Fly, and a pristine 1989 five-wheel nut example with just 8,250km.
The collection extends into the 1990s with a Ferrari 512TR and culminates with a 1995 Ferrari 512M, featuring a 50bhp power upgrade that enhances its performance significantly.
This year’s L’AstaRossa™ auction also features vehicles with exceptionally low mileage. Noteworthy examples include a 1972 Ferrari 365GTC/4 with only 15,100km, a 1986 Ferrari 328 GTS with 3,500km, and a 1993 Ferrari 348 TS with 3,800km.
Unique to the sale is a rare ASA 1000GT, known as the ‘Ferrarina.’ Designed by Enzo Ferrari to offer a lower-cost option, this model transitioned to ASA and saw limited production, making it a highly sought-after collector’s item. The offered coupe has a remarkable history, having been owned by the same person for over 50 years and showing just 17,500km.
Collectors of Ferrari memorabilia will find an array of intriguing items, including a scooter used by Michael Schumacher, a helmet signed by the seven-time Formula One world champion, an autographed kart used by Charles Leclerc, and documents signed by Enzo Ferrari.
Laurent Blomet, Founder and Director of Monaco Car Auctions, expressed his excitement: “Following the success of our inaugural L’AstaRossa™ auction last year, we are thrilled to present a diverse and exceptional array of vehicles this year. We look forward to revealing more exciting consignments in the coming weeks.”
