Maranello, 19 January 2026 – Ferrari has once again redefined automotive artistry with the launch of the Tailor Made 12Cilindri, a one-of-a-kind creation that marries the pinnacle of Ferrari craftsmanship with a bold celebration of Korean culture. Designed exclusively for the South Korean market, this unique Ferrari elevates personalisation to an entirely new level, fusing tradition, innovation, and global collaboration.
A Global Collaboration Across Continents
The Tailor Made 12Cilindri is the product of nearly two years of meticulous collaboration spanning three continents. In Asia, four rising South Korean artists – Daehye Jeong, Hyunhee Kim, GRAYCODE, jiiiiin, and TaeHyun Lee – brought their heritage and innovative approaches to the project. Ferrari’s Styling Centre in Europe provided technical design mastery, while North America’s award-winning editorial platform COOL HUNTING® guided the creative vision, ensuring the project harmoniously balanced artistic expression and Ferrari’s engineering excellence.
Evan Orensten and Josh Rubin of COOL HUNTING® led the curatorial and creative coordination, alongside project curator JaeEun “Jane” Lee and the Ferrari design and R&D teams, ensuring a seamless translation of Korean cultural vibrancy into a road-going work of art.
Yoonseul: The Colour of Korea
Perhaps the most striking feature of the Tailor Made 12Cilindri is its transitional Yoonseul paint scheme. Inspired by the translucent beauty of Celadon ceramics and the pulsating neon energy of Seoul, the finish shifts from green to violet with subtle blue highlights, evoking sunlight dancing on the sea. This iridescent effect perfectly embodies the fusion of Korean tradition with contemporary cosmopolitan aesthetics.
Artistry Within: The Work of Daehye Jeong
Textile artist Daehye Jeong, winner of the 2022 Loewe Foundation Craft Prize, brings her delicate horsehair weaving into the 12Cilindri. Her iconic patterns, reimagined in a new 3-D fabric developed for this Ferrari, adorn the seats, floor, and soft surfaces. A hand-woven Mongolian horsehair artwork integrates into the dashboard, while a screen-printed glass roof allows light to play with shadows in a first-of-its-kind interior effect, creating a spiritual interplay between light and material.
Material Innovation by Hyunhee Kim
Hyunhee Kim, known for transforming traditional Korean objects into ethereal, semi-translucent artworks, contributes both interior and exterior innovations. Her translucent touch appears on the Scuderia Ferrari shields, wheel caps, long F nameplate, and Prancing Horse. Inside, the centre tunnel features a matching effect alongside a handcrafted dedication plate inscribed in traditional calligraphy. Kim also designed a bespoke luggage case and key holder, allowing the collector to carry a tangible piece of her artistry.
White as a Statement: TaeHyun Lee
Contemporary artist TaeHyun Lee, renowned for reinterpreting Korean lacquer techniques, brought a modern elegance to the 12Cilindri with white lacquer finishes. The vehicle’s white brake calipers and shift paddles, unprecedented in a factory Ferrari, reflect Lee’s vision of layering, depth, and the transformative beauty of materials.
Visualising Sound: GRAYCODE and jiiiiin
The dynamic partnership of sound and performance artists GRAYCODE and jiiiiin translates the Ferrari V12’s engine notes into a visual spectacle on the vehicle’s bodywork. Using a darker shade of the transitional Yoonseul paint, their artwork captures the rhythm and essence of the 12Cilindri’s engine, marrying sound, technology, and visual art in a first-of-its-kind Ferrari application.
Ferrari 12Cilindri: Performance Meets Elegance
Beyond its artistic mastery, the 12Cilindri is a true Ferrari at heart. Inspired by the front-engined Gran Turismo models of the 1950s and 1960s, it combines elegance, versatility, and extreme performance:
- Engine: Naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 producing 830 cv at 9,250 rpm
- Performance: 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, top speed >340 km/h
- Transmission: 8-speed DCT with advanced electronic controls
- Chassis: 48.4/51.6 weight distribution, integrated active aerodynamics
Every curve, every detail – from the reverse-opening bonnet to the signature double exhaust pipes – reinforces Ferrari’s mission of harmonising performance with refinement.
A Tailor Made Future
The Tailor Made 12Cilindri is more than a car; it is a cultural bridge, a canvas for creativity, and a testament to Ferrari’s relentless pursuit of innovation. By merging Korean artistry with Maranello’s engineering, Ferrari has produced a vehicle that transcends conventional automotive design, offering collectors a driving experience steeped in performance, tradition, and bespoke craftsmanship.
This 12Cilindri proves that when art meets engineering, the result is not merely a car – it is a story, a celebration, and a masterpiece.
