Farizon has officially introduced the all-new V7E at the Commercial Vehicle Show, positioning it as a highly intelligent, city-optimised electric van designed to reset expectations in the medium-sized LCV segment. Developed under Geely’s commercial vehicle division and brought to the UK by Jameel Motors, the V7E arrives with a clear focus on efficiency, usability and uncompromising load capability, combining advanced drive-by-wire engineering with practical, fleet-ready simplicity.
At the heart of the V7E is the GXA-M intelligent architecture, a skateboard-style platform that replaces traditional mechanical linkages with signal-based systems for steering and braking. This enables sharper response, improved stability and a lighter overall structure, while reducing kerb weight to as low as 1,812kg depending on specification. The result is a van that feels more agile in tight urban environments, supported by an ultra-small turning circle of around 12 metres, effectively giving it a 6-metre radius that makes U-turns possible within standard city lanes.
Space and usability are where the V7E makes its boldest statement. Despite its compact footprint of 4,995mm in length, it delivers a class-leading 6.95m³ cargo capacity and a payload ranging from 1,208kg to 1,338kg depending on battery choice. The loading experience is equally engineered for real-world efficiency, with an ultra-low 500mm cargo floor, 1,100mm wide dual sliding side doors and 270-degree rear door access. The load bay can accommodate up to three Euro pallets, making it a strong fit for dense urban logistics operations.
Power comes from a VMAX POWER permanent magnet synchronous motor producing 110kW and 230Nm, driving the front wheels for strong traction in stop-start city traffic. The V7E is capable of a top speed of 75mph, while Eco and Normal drive modes allow operators to balance performance and efficiency. The aerodynamic design, with a drag coefficient of just 0.27, further supports energy efficiency across both battery options.
Customers can choose between a 50kWh or 67kWh lithium iron phosphate battery supplied by CATL, both built on a 400V system with reinforced safety architecture. Depending on specification, the V7E delivers up to 210 miles on the WLTP City cycle and up to 204 miles combined on the larger pack. Fast DC charging at up to 100kW allows a 20 to 80 per cent top-up in as little as 18 minutes, while 11kW AC charging provides a full charge in under five hours. Vehicle-to-load capability is also included as standard, offering 2.2kW output via a 220V socket in the cargo area.
Ride and handling are tailored for urban delivery cycles, using MacPherson independent front suspension and a longitudinal leaf spring rear setup for load stability. Brake-by-wire technology with an electro-hydraulic system delivers consistent performance and a rapid 180-millisecond response time, with braking distances from 50mph measured between approximately 26.8 and 33 metres depending on load conditions.
Durability has clearly been a priority throughout development. The V7E has undergone more than five million kilometres of testing, alongside extreme temperature validation and over 3,000 system-level rig tests. Its body structure uses 1,500MPa high-strength steel across 65 per cent of the frame, contributing to class-leading torsional stiffness and a reinforced safety cage design. This is backed by a five-star global compliance target across 58 markets and supported in the UK by a five-year, 120,000-mile warranty.
Inside, the cabin blends practicality with modern connectivity. A 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while a seven-inch digital instrument cluster delivers key driving data. The cabin is designed around productivity, offering 15 storage compartments, multiple charging points and a configurable seating layout with ventilated driver comfort. A 360-degree camera system and full suite of 17 ADAS features, including adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, autonomous emergency braking and blind spot detection, come as standard.
Externally, the V7E adopts a clean, functional design language with distinctive LED lighting, a short front overhang to maximise cargo space and a robust stance aimed at commercial durability. Paint options include Moon White as standard, with Forest Green and Frost Blue available at additional cost.
Order books for the Farizon V7E are now open, with pricing starting from £28,000 for the 50kWh model and £30,500 for the 67kWh version, excluding VAT and on-road costs. With its combination of payload strength, intelligent architecture and rapid charging capability, the V7E enters the market as a serious contender in the rapidly evolving electric van landscape.
