In a celebration of precision, performance and people, Audi South Africa brought its national dealer network into the spotlight at the 2026 Audi Vorsprung Awards, held in Sandton on 16 April. The evening unfolded as a carefully tuned symphony of recognition, where excellence in sales, aftersales and financial services took centre stage, and where the brand’s ethos of progress through technology met the human touch behind every customer interaction.

At the heart of the night’s accolades was the Hatfield Motor Group, which claimed the coveted Dealer Group of the Year title. Their win reflects more than just strong numbers; it signals a sustained ability to translate Audi’s premium promise into consistent, real-world experiences across multiple touchpoints. Alongside them, Audi Centre Rivonia emerged as Dealer of the Year in the large dealer category, while Audi Centre Nelson Mandela Bay secured top honours among medium and small dealers. Together, these wins sketch a portrait of a network firing on all cylinders.

The Vorsprung Awards, named after Audi’s enduring philosophy of “Vorsprung durch Technik,” are less about a single moment of brilliance and more about sustained excellence over time. Each award recognises those who have balanced performance metrics with something harder to quantify: a premium, customer-led experience that feels intuitive, seamless and distinctly Audi. Across nine categories, individuals and teams were recognised for turning everyday dealership interactions into something closer to craftsmanship.

From showroom floors to service bays, the individual award winners represent the finely engineered cogs within Audi’s broader machine. Professionals like Julian Ware in Claremont and Arina Rosenberg in Windhoek demonstrated leadership in new vehicle sales, while Lindy Lentsoenyane and Jacques Adriaanse brought sharp execution to the role of sales executives. Specialists such as Belinda Oosthuizen, recognised as RS Model Expert of the Year, embodied the brand’s high-performance DNA, translating technical mastery into customer excitement.

Elsewhere, excellence extended into the pre-owned segment, aftersales operations and financial services, areas often overlooked but essential to the full ownership journey. Names like Dorietha Gouws, Thando Fani and Darryll Robertson surfaced as quiet powerhouses behind the scenes, ensuring that the Audi experience remains consistent long after the initial purchase. In many ways, these roles are the brand’s long game, where trust is built, maintained and quietly reinforced.

According to Markus Schuster, Head of Audi South Africa, the awards reflect a network that continues to deliver disciplined performance in a demanding premium market. He pointed to the consistency across the board and a clear commitment to customer-centricity as defining traits of this year’s winners. It is this blend of precision and adaptability, he suggested, that positions the brand strongly for the road ahead.

The 2026 Audi Vorsprung Awards ultimately served as more than a ceremony. They were a snapshot of a network in motion, evolving with the market while staying anchored to its core principles. Behind every polished vehicle and every carefully orchestrated handover lies a network of people pushing for incremental gains, refining processes, and quietly raising the bar.

In that sense, the evening was not just about who won, but about what winning represents. A commitment to progress that does not shout, but hums steadily in the background like a well-tuned engine, always moving forward.
