The new Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale has secured the prestigious “Design Concept Award,” marking a significant milestone for the Italian brand with its fifth victory in this category since its inception in 2002. Alfa Romeo continues to demonstrate its prowess in automotive design, being the only marque to have claimed both of the event’s top honors in a single year, first in 2002 with the 6C 1750 and Brera, and again in 2012 with the 6C 1750 GS and 4C Concept.
At the illustrious “Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este,” an event that has celebrated the elegance of classic cars since 1929 and highlighted captivating prototypes since 2002, the new Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale stood out, clinching the “Design Concept Award.” This recognition underscores the car’s exceptional status as a masterpiece of automotive art.

This latest accolade adds to Alfa Romeo’s impressive record, following the Brera, 8C Competizione, 8C Spider, TZ3, and 4C Concept models. The brand remains unrivaled in winning both the “Coppa d’Oro” and “Design Concept Award” simultaneously in 2002 and 2012.
A Vision of Future Design and Driving Excellence
The award-winning 33 Stradale embodies Alfa Romeo’s vision of future design and driving excellence. Inspired by the iconic Tipo 33, a legendary name in automotive history and a 1960s icon, this custom-built marvel is limited to just 33 exclusive units. The new two-seater coupé seamlessly merges heritage with modernity, crafted through a unique artisanal process reminiscent of Renaissance workshops and the bespoke craftsmanship of 1960s Italian coachbuilders.
The 33 Stradale’s triumph lies in its breathtaking sculptural beauty, enhanced by innovative design elements that reflect Alfa Romeo’s evolving style language. Its exterior exemplifies “necessary beauty,” striking a perfect harmony between proportions, volumes, and surface detailing. Inside, the minimalist design, immersive atmosphere, and high-quality materials enhance the driving experience, while paying homage to the aesthetic and technological essence of the original 1967 33 Stradale.
