Paris – The 50th edition of Retromobile, one of the world’s premier classic car shows, opens its doors at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, and Alfa Romeo is seizing the spotlight with an exhibition that celebrates more than a century of Italian automotive excellence. The stand, inspired by the concept “Roads of Emotion,” guides visitors through the very essence of Alfa Romeo: timeless design, technical innovation, and the pure pleasure of driving.
At the heart of the display are three legendary classic models. The 1600 Spider “Duetto” (1966), a symbol of Italian elegance and the quintessential roadster, celebrates its 60th anniversary. Known to many as the “cuttlefish tail” for its distinctive rear, the Duetto captured global attention when Dustin Hoffman drove it in The Graduate, cementing its place in pop culture and motoring history. The rare 750 Competizione (1955) – a prototype with only two units ever made – exemplifies Alfa Romeo’s competitive spirit in the “1500-cc” sport category. And the 33/2 Periscopica (1967), the pioneering predecessor of the 33 racing family, showcases Alfa Romeo’s dominance in motorsport, with victories at Le Mans, Targa Florio, and multiple world titles.
Alongside these icons, the new Alfa Romeo Tonale demonstrates the brand’s commitment to blending heritage with modern innovation. The Sport Speciale version on display, in striking Rosso Brera, highlights the Tonale’s evolution in sportiness and design. With diamond-cut 20-inch wheels, Brembo brakes, and Alcantara-trimmed interiors, the Tonale delivers an unmistakable Alfa Romeo driving experience – dynamic, refined, and emotionally engaging. Its advanced digital cockpit, Level 2 driver assistance systems, and hybrid powertrains position it as a contemporary icon, carrying forward the legacy of its forebears.
The Alfa Romeo stand is more than a static exhibition; it is a journey of the senses. Four thematic “roads” explore distinct emotional and stylistic universes, from the Duetto’s timeless charm to the racing pedigree of the 33/2, culminating in the modern excitement of the Tonale. Every display emphasizes the driver as the focal point, reinforcing Alfa Romeo’s philosophy that driving is not merely motion, but an experience that resonates with passion, performance, and beauty.
Visitors can also discover the Alfa Romeo Classiche program, part of Stellantis Heritage, dedicated to preserving and enhancing the brand’s historical legacy. From Certificates of Origin and Authenticity to restoration and maintenance services, Alfa Romeo Classiche ensures that every historic car retains its original character. The Reloaded By Creators initiative further celebrates this heritage, restoring legendary models such as the 4C Collezione GT “Nicola Larini” to their original splendor with verified authenticity.
The Alfa Romeo exhibition at Retromobile 2026 is a testament to a brand that continues to inspire, excite, and innovate. By intertwining the charm of its past with the visionary force of the present, Alfa Romeo invites visitors to experience a century of Italian automotive artistry – where every road traveled is a road of emotion.
The Alfa Romeo stand can be found in Hall 7.2 at Retromobile Paris, open to visitors through February 1, 2026.
