London, 13 August 2025 – JAECOO UK has officially unveiled the full pricing and specifications for its first fully electric model in the UK market, the JAECOO E5. With a starting price of £27,505 OTR*, the E5 brings zero-emission driving to a compact, urban-friendly SUV while retaining the bold, rugged character that defines the JAECOO family.
Built as a smaller, more manoeuvrable sibling to the JAECOO 5, the E5 combines striking SUV design with electric efficiency. Its bold stance and adventurous silhouette are complemented by a clean, flush front end, signalling its EV identity and optimising aerodynamic efficiency. Designed to be at home both in the city and on open roads, the E5 offers a harmonious balance of style, capability, and practicality.
Electric Performance for Everyday Life
At the heart of the JAECOO E5 lies a 61.1 kWh Lithium‑Iron Phosphate battery paired with a 207 PS electric motor producing 288 Nm of torque. This combination delivers a WLTP range of up to 248 miles and a 0–62 mph acceleration in 7.7 seconds – smooth, silent, and effortlessly responsive. Charging is made simple with an 80 kW DC fast charger capable of replenishing the battery from 30% to 80% in approximately 27 minutes, while an 11 kW AC home charger ensures convenient overnight charging.
True to JAECOO’s ethos of ‘Enjoy Each Moment Outdoors,’ the E5 also offers vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, allowing users to power equipment from camping gear to laptops directly from the car. This makes the E5 equally suitable for weekday city life and weekend countryside adventures.

Inside, the JAECOO E5 blends modern technology with practical design. A 13.2-inch high-definition portrait touchscreen anchors the cabin, complemented by the intuitive ‘Hi JAECOO’ voice assistant, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, and a 540-degree panoramic camera system. Despite its compact exterior, the five-seat E5 is exceptionally spacious, offering over 35 storage compartments and a 480-litre boot, expandable to 1,180 litres with rear seats folded.
The E5 has been designed with every passenger in mind, including pets. A dedicated ‘Pet Mode’ climate system ensures cabin safety for animals while parked, supported by branded pet accessories and a high-efficiency air-filtration system for a consistently clean environment.
Versatile Trim Options and Driver Assistance
The E5 is available in two trim levels – Pure and Luxury – each offering a high standard of features. The Pure trim comes with six-speaker SONY audio, six-way manually adjustable front seats, and Level 2 ADAS driver assistance systems. Luxury adds a panoramic sunroof, wireless mobile phone charging, heated and ventilated electrically adjustable front seats, multi-coloured ambient lighting, and an eight-speaker SONY audio upgrade.
A chassis tuned specifically for UK roads is paired with 19 ADAS features, including Level 2 autonomous driving, adaptive cruise control, and collision mitigation systems. This ensures a composed, confident drive in both urban and rural settings.
Warranty and Ownership Confidence
Reflecting JAECOO’s commitment to long-term ownership, every E5 comes with a 7-year/100,000-mile vehicle warranty and an 8-year/100,000-mile battery warranty. The first three years carry no mileage restriction, and RAC Home Start is included as standard, underscoring the brand’s focus on durability and peace of mind.

Priced from £27,505 OTR* in Pure trim and £30,505 OTR* in Luxury, first UK deliveries of the JAECOO E5 are expected from October via the OMODA & JAECOO UK dealer network. Customers can choose between the electric E5 and a traditional petrol-powered JAECOO 5, ensuring flexibility within the compact SUV range.
