Denmark, 27 November 2024 – Zenvo Automotive is making remarkable progress with its ambitious Aurora hypercar project, as the company gears up for a pivotal year in 2025. With vehicle development advancing at full throttle, Zenvo has bolstered its engineering team and set significant milestones, including the much-anticipated dynamic debut of a prototype at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Strengthening the Core Engineering Team
Under the leadership of Chief Technical Officer Jon Gunner, Zenvo has welcomed seasoned experts to its growing engineering team. This expansion includes the addition of Jorge Uhalte-Nogués as Homologation Director, bringing experience from Bentley and McLaren, and Javier Castane as Chief Engineer, formerly with Aston Martin and JLR. To support this growth, Zenvo has opened a new engineering office in Sweden, complementing its main facility in Præstø, Denmark.
This strategic move has enabled the team to advance on multiple fronts, including component design, vehicle packaging, and the ongoing development of the cutting-edge Mjølner V12 engine. Additionally, detailed crash testing and aerodynamic simulations have refined the designs of the Aurora’s two derivatives, the track-focused Agil and the grand-touring Tur.
“The Aurora project continues to gather pace,” said Jon Gunner. “The expansion of our team and the establishment of a second engineering office are a testament to the ambition behind this project. Our focus remains on delivering unmatched driver engagement and performance for both the Agil and Tur models. I have every confidence that our growing team will exceed expectations at every milestone.”

Refining a Visionary Design
Christian Brandt, Zenvo’s Chief Designer, emphasized the seamless integration of engineering and design. “The Aurora designs have evolved significantly as we’ve worked to ensure they deliver an unparalleled driving experience, both visually and dynamically,” Brandt explained. “Every line, every detail embodies Danish design principles, marrying aesthetics with cutting-edge technology without compromising performance or driver engagement.”
The Agil and Tur models continue to encapsulate Zenvo’s commitment to crafting hypercars that are as visually striking as they are technologically advanced. The result is a synthesis of dramatic form and optimized function, staying true to the bold vision unveiled at the Aurora’s initial reveal.
Mjølner V12: A Game-Changing Powertrain
At the heart of the Aurora project is the Mjølner V12, a 6.6-litre quad-turbocharged powerhouse developed in collaboration with MAHLE Powertrain. Set to be the most powerful and technologically advanced V12 engine ever built, the Mjølner promises to deliver exceptional performance while prioritizing driver engagement.
Zenvo has scheduled the first engine start-up for early 2025, a landmark moment that will pave the way for real-world testing. This rigorous process will culminate in the prototype’s dynamic debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, marking an exciting chapter in the Aurora’s journey.
Global Stage Set for 2025
Beyond its debut at Goodwood, the Aurora project will take center stage at high-profile events worldwide, including a return to the U.S. and appearances across Europe, the UK, and Monterey Car Week.
Jens Sverdrup, Chairman and Chief Commercial Officer, underscored Zenvo’s commitment to the Aurora project: “2024 has been a transformative year for Zenvo. We’ve laid the groundwork for an extraordinary 2025, working with top-tier talent and strategic partners who share our vision. The Aurora project embodies our bold aspirations and serves as a foundation for the future of Zenvo Automotive.”
As Zenvo Automotive accelerates towards 2025, the Aurora hypercar project stands as a testament to the brand’s ingenuity and ambition. With a strengthened team, cutting-edge technology, and a busy calendar of global events, Zenvo is poised to redefine the hypercar landscape. The journey to deliver the Agil and Tur promises to not only meet expectations but exceed them, ensuring the Aurora’s place as a groundbreaking achievement in automotive innovation.
