Zeekr has taken another decisive step in its European expansion with the debut of the new Zeekr 7GT, unveiled at the Brussels Motor Show on 9 January 2026. Designed to put the driver firmly at the centre of the experience, the 7GT blends advanced Chinese EV technology with a distinctly European design philosophy and driving character. Launching in Europe from €45,990, it positions itself as a grand tourer built not just for moments of excitement, but for the everyday realities of modern driving.

From the outset, the Zeekr 7GT makes its intentions clear. Every element of the cabin is orientated around connection and responsiveness, from the wraparound console to the carefully optimised driving position. The focus is on creating a sense of harmony between car and driver, an approach that continues once the wheels begin to turn.

Designed in Europe and tuned specifically for European roads, the 7GT delivers a balanced, ultra-responsive drive that feels equally at home on long motorway journeys and twisting back roads. Its commanding proportions, measuring 4,817 mm in length and over two metres wide, house an advanced 800V battery architecture. Customers can choose between 75 kWh and 100 kWh battery options, both supporting ultra-fast charging. Under optimal conditions, the 7GT can recharge from 10 to 80 percent in as little as 13 minutes, making it as convenient as it is capable.

Performance is a defining pillar of the 7GT’s character. Despite its everyday practicality, which includes comfortable seating for five passengers and a generous 456-litre luggage capacity, the car delivers genuine GT credentials. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes as little as 3.3 seconds, with a top speed of 210 km/h. Multiple driving modes allow the car’s character to adapt effortlessly, whether navigating city streets, tackling snow-covered roads or stretching its legs on open highways.

Inside, technology enhances rather than distracts. The driver is greeted by a striking 35.5-inch augmented reality head-up display, working in harmony with a 13-inch digital instrument cluster. Together, they present essential information and driver assistance features in a clear, intuitive manner, reinforcing safety and confidence without overwhelming the senses.

True to its grand touring brief, the Zeekr 7GT is also designed for adventure. Five driving modes, including Sport and Snow, are complemented by thoughtful features such as camping customisation settings, roof rack compatibility, a ski storage hatch and advanced towing capabilities. This versatility allows the 7GT to transition seamlessly from urban commutes to weekend escapes.

Every detail of the 7GT has been engineered with driving enjoyment in mind. Steering, chassis, braking systems and tyre selection have all been carefully calibrated to sharpen feedback and control. The result is a car that balances visual elegance with intelligent solutions, creating a bespoke experience on every journey. Extensive technology integration, including an intelligent cockpit, intuitive safety systems and ultra-personalised settings such as individual speaker customisation, further reinforces the sense of a cohesive, forward-thinking vehicle.

Zeekr 7GT Brings Driver-Focused Electric Performance to Europe

According to Gustaf Gunér, Head of Brand Design at Zeekr Design, the 7GT is the result of a deeply emotional design process. He describes it as “beautifully deliberate”, with a sporting silhouette and exquisite detailing that reflects a pure passion for the driving experience. The car’s ability to adapt, he notes, makes it a true chameleon, shaped by an uncompromising focus on how it feels from behind the wheel.

That feeling is underpinned by sophisticated engineering. A premium suspension setup combining double-wishbone and five-link architecture ensures comfort and control in equal measure, while larger Privilege brakes deliver consistent stopping power with excellent cooling and fade resistance. Carefully tuned drive modes allow drivers to choose between heightened agility in Sport and refined composure in Comfort. When it comes time to recharge, the 7GT’s 480 kW charging capability can deliver up to 340 km of range in just 10 minutes, keeping long journeys flowing with minimal interruption.

Safety remains a core priority. The reinforced vehicle structure, seven airbags and a comprehensive suite of Zeekr Assisted Drive technologies provide reassurance in all conditions. Features such as automatic emergency braking, intelligent adaptive cruise control with towing assist and fingertip parking are designed to support the driver without intruding on the enjoyment of the drive.

The launch of the Zeekr 7GT arrives at a pivotal moment for the brand. With more than 550,000 vehicles sold globally since its founding in 2021, Zeekr is accelerating its pan-European rollout over the next 12 months. Lothar Schupet, Acting CEO of Zeekr Europe, describes the 7GT as a passion project that embodies the company’s ambition as a high-end challenger brand. For him, it represents a commitment to delivering premium products that never lose sight of the thrill of the journey.

The debut also aligns with Zeekr’s new European “Seek More” campaign, which positions its vehicles as more than modes of transport. Instead, they are framed as catalysts for meaningful experiences, human connection and discovery, offering drivers calm, freedom and a deeper sense of connection beyond the city limits.

With the 7GT, Zeekr has delivered an electric grand tourer that feels deliberate, dynamic and genuinely connected, a car designed not just to move people, but to engage them every time they take the wheel.
