In honour of International Women Drivers’ Day, the Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year (WWCOTY), in partnership with Czech automotive publication Žena v autě.cz, has launched a landmark international survey exploring how women experience life behind the wheel.
29 May 2025 – A new chapter in understanding women’s driving experiences has begun as Žena v autě.cz, a leading Czech magazine dedicated to women and motoring, teams up with the Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year (WWCOTY) to roll out a comprehensive global survey. The initiative seeks to shed light on how female drivers feel on today’s roads—whether it’s their confidence levels, fears, or behaviours behind the wheel.
The results of the survey will be unveiled on International Women Drivers’ Day, celebrated annually on 24 June, and will offer rare insights into the shared and divergent experiences of women drivers from around the world.
A Platform for Global Voices
At the heart of this initiative is a detailed questionnaire hosted on wwcoty.net and via Žena v autě.cz, open to participants until 15 June 2025. While the survey is primarily directed at female motorists, organisers encourage all road users to take part.
“Through this questionnaire, we want to explore how women feel on today’s roads—what empowers them, what concerns they face, and how confident they are when driving,” explains Sabina Kvasova, Editor-in-Chief of Žena v autě.cz and WWCOTY juror. “Thanks to WWCOTY’s international reach, we can compare responses from different countries and gain a deeper, more accurate picture of the global landscape for women drivers.”
