Urban Automotive redefines the performance SUV with its most extreme Range Rover Sport yet.

The 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed is no stranger to high-octane debuts and daring design statements. But this year, Urban Automotive has captured the spotlight with the world-exclusive unveiling of its most audacious build to date: the Range Rover Sport Urban XRS (Extreme Road Series) Widetrack. Based on the formidable Range Rover Sport SV, this halo SUV fuses blistering V8 performance with a commanding, motorsport-inspired visual identity — setting a new benchmark for bespoke luxury performance vehicles.

Pushing Boundaries: V8 Performance Reimagined

At its core, the Urban XRS Widetrack retains the formidable engineering DNA of the Range Rover Sport SV, powered by a 4.4-litre V8 mild hybrid petrol engine. With a towering 635 hp underfoot, it sprints from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds, effortlessly blending Range Rover sophistication with supercar-worthy performance.

This is more than just raw power. The Urban XRS is engineered for road presence, road handling, and road dominance — a machine for those who demand their luxury with a heavy dose of attitude.

Sculpted Aggression: The Widetrack Transformation

Urban’s latest XRS Widetrack styling package transforms the silhouette of the Range Rover Sport into something unmistakably bold and relentlessly aggressive. A replacement carbon fibre bonnet featuring a visual carbon ‘power dome’ sets the tone, flanked by extended, body-coloured Widetrack wheel arches that broaden the SUV’s stance.

At the front, a completely reprofiled carbon fibre bumper is paired with 3D-printed XRS mesh grilles, an exposed carbon upper grille overlay, and an assertive five-piece splitter with XRS canards — design elements typically reserved for track machines now infused into this luxury SUV.

From profile to rear, every detail reinforces the XRS’s high-performance persona. Mirror caps, side trims, and sill extensions are all finished in exposed carbon fibre, each one bearing the distinctive Urban icon. The rear view is equally dramatic, with a replacement bumper housing a redesigned diffuser and a new centre exit billet exhaust finisher, accompanied by a body-coloured rear spoiler. Premium badging — including Urban’s bespoke boot and bonnet lettering and XRS tablet badges — completes the visual overhaul.

Motorsport-Inspired Interior

Inside, Urban delivers a cabin that mirrors the visual aggression of the exterior. Carbon fibre-backed Recaro sports seats take pride of place up front, adorned with exclusive XRS branding. The driver grips a flat-bottomed carbon fibre steering wheel, while further XRS badging on the dashboard ensures no occupant forgets they’re in a truly special machine.

As founder Simon Dearn explains:

“The Range Rover Sport is legendary, but we believed it deserved a stronger, more distinctive visual presence. Building on the success of our Defender XRS Widetrack, we’ve brought that same energy to the Range Rover Sport — and the result is a bold, aggressive SUV that looks and sounds truly incredible.”

An XRS for the Bold

Designed for drivers who demand more than just luxury — for those who see performance, presence, and personalisation as non-negotiable — the Urban XRS Widetrack is an unfiltered expression of intent. More than just a Range Rover Sport, it is Urban’s ultimate SUV: a fusion of power, style, and exclusivity that commands attention from boulevard to B-road.

With the XRS Widetrack now unveiled, Urban Automotive once again proves why it remains at the cutting edge of bespoke British performance craftsmanship. And with its debut taking place at the heart of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the message is clear: extreme performance has a new name.
