Celebrating women redefining the automotive industry while driving support for vital cancer charities
London, UK – 16 October 2025 — Women on the Move Against Cancer (WOMAC) has been announced as the official Charity Partner for the 2025 Motor Trader Women in Motor Industry Awards (WiMIA), set to take place on Thursday, 4 December 2025, at the Marriott Grosvenor Square, London.
The prestigious event will unite leading figures, innovators, and advocates from across the automotive world for an evening dedicated to honouring the women transforming the industry – as well as the colleagues, companies, and communities championing their success.
A Shared Mission: Empowerment and Impact
The partnership between WOMAC and WiMIA represents more than a collaboration; it is a meeting of shared values. Both organisations are dedicated to empowerment, inclusivity, and tangible impact – whether through driving diversity in the workplace or funding projects that make a difference in people’s lives.
Founded in 1979, WOMAC has raised over £1 million to support cancer-related charities and initiatives throughout the UK. Its work focuses on smaller, lesser-known organisations whose efforts often deliver life-changing support to individuals and families affected by cancer.
“We are absolutely delighted that WOMAC has been chosen as the Charity Partner for the inaugural Motor Trader Women in Motor Industry Awards,” said Nicola Humphreys, Chair of WOMAC. “As a collective of women working within the automotive world, we share WiMIA’s commitment to championing female achievement and creating lasting impact. This partnership will help us continue funding small but vital charities that make a real difference in the fight against cancer.”
Recognising the Women Driving the Industry Forward
The Motor Trader Women in Motor Industry Awards highlight the breadth of female talent and leadership across every corner of the automotive landscape — from retail and manufacturing to marketing, engineering, and technology.
Categories such as Rising Star of the Year celebrate emerging voices showing exceptional potential, while the Diversity & Inclusion Champion award recognises individuals and organisations pushing for a more equitable and dynamic industry culture.
With 39 awards to be presented, excitement is already building among nominees and attendees ahead of what promises to be an unforgettable evening of celebration, inspiration, and industry pride.

Purpose at the Heart of Celebration
By partnering with WOMAC, the 2025 WiMIA event aims to extend its influence beyond recognition and celebration — using the platform to generate awareness and raise crucial funds for cancer-related causes.
John Kirwan, Editor at Motor Trader, commented: “We’re delighted to be partnering with WOMAC for this year’s Women in Motor Industry Awards. The organisation has a long and inspiring history of bringing people across the automotive community together to make a real difference. Supporting their work adds even greater purpose to an evening dedicated to celebrating achievement, collaboration and the positive influence of women across our industry.”
Looking Ahead to December
The 2025 Motor Trader Women in Motor Industry Awards will serve not only as a moment of recognition for the exceptional women redefining the sector, but also as a testament to the automotive community’s collective strength, compassion, and commitment to positive change.
Through this partnership with WOMAC, every award presented and every story shared contributes to a cause that transcends the industry — helping to fund vital research, treatment, and support services that touch lives across the UK.
