An Electric Revolution for Europe, by Europe

For decades, Volkswagen has been at the forefront of providing affordable mobility to millions, with iconic models such as the Beetle and the Golf shaping automotive history. Now, the German automaker is taking a bold step into the future with the unveiling of the ID. EVERY1 show car—a preview of an all-electric, entry-level model designed to bring sustainable mobility to the masses. Set for production in 2027, the ID. EVERY1 is poised to redefine electric vehicle (EV) accessibility with an anticipated starting price of just €20,000.

Smart, Versatile, and Built for Every Lifestyle

The ID. EVERY1 embodies Volkswagen’s vision of a flexible and intelligent urban EV. Its sporty exterior design, compact footprint, and spacious interior make it an attractive choice for private buyers and businesses alike. Whether used as a daily commuter, a company fleet vehicle, or a last-mile delivery solution, this next-generation EV is engineered to cater to diverse mobility needs.

Inside, the ID. EVERY1 offers a digital-first experience, featuring a fully connected cockpit that enables seamless integration with Volkswagen’s latest software architecture. This means over-the-air updates will keep the vehicle’s features and systems up to date, ensuring it remains cutting-edge throughout its lifecycle.

Volkswagen Unveils The Id Every1 A Glimpse Into Affordable Electric Mobility

A Key Player in Volkswagen’s EV Strategy

As part of Volkswagen’s broader electrification roadmap, the ID. EVERY1 plays a crucial role in the brand’s expansion into the high-volume EV segment. Alongside its sibling, the ID. 2all—which is set to launch in 2026 at a price point below €25,000—the ID. EVERY1 will establish Volkswagen as a leader in affordable electric mobility.

Volkswagen’s ambitious “Future Volkswagen” plan outlines a three-phase approach to growth and innovation:

  • Catch Up: Strengthen competitiveness and expand the model range. A further preview of the Electric Urban Car Family will be revealed in autumn 2025.
  • Attack: Launch nine new models by 2027, including the ID. 2all and ID. EVERY1, to solidify Volkswagen’s position in the entry-level EV segment.
  • Lead: By 2030, Volkswagen aims to be the world’s leading high-volume EV manufacturer, delivering the safest, most technologically advanced, and best-selling electric cars.

Revolutionary Design with a Familiar Feel

Volkswagen has taken inspiration from the beloved up! city car, infusing the ID. EVERY1 with a charismatic and approachable design. Head of Design Andreas Mindt describes the car as “bold yet accessible,” featuring distinctive front lighting and a welcoming rear-end design that gives it personality beyond mere functionality. The ID. EVERY1 isn’t just another EV—it’s a car designed to resonate with people on an emotional level.

Efficient Electric Performance

Built on Volkswagen’s new modular electric drive (MEB) platform for front-wheel-drive vehicles, the ID. EVERY1 optimizes efficiency and space utilization. With a length of 3,880 mm—fitting between the up! and the Polo—it offers a comfortable four-seater cabin with 305 liters of luggage capacity.

Under the hood, a newly developed 70 kW (95 PS) electric motor delivers a top speed of 130 km/h, while an estimated range of at least 250 km ensures practicality for urban and suburban commuting. With a strong focus on efficiency, Volkswagen has positioned the ID. EVERY1 as a game-changer in the affordable EV sector.

Pioneering the Future of Mobility

Volkswagen’s commitment to innovation extends beyond vehicle design. The ID. EVERY1 will be the first model in the Volkswagen Group to feature an entirely new, powerful software architecture. This groundbreaking technology will allow owners to upgrade their vehicles with new functions and features long after the initial purchase, making it one of the most future-proof cars in its class.

The Road Ahead

As the automotive industry accelerates toward electrification, Volkswagen is staying true to its mission of making cutting-edge mobility accessible to all. The ID. EVERY1 is more than just an entry-level EV—it’s a statement of intent, proving that sustainable driving doesn’t have to come with a premium price tag.

With its attractive design, advanced digital capabilities, and a price point that makes EV ownership more attainable than ever, the ID. EVERY1 is set to become a cornerstone of Volkswagen’s electrified future. As 2027 approaches, the automotive world eagerly awaits the arrival of a car that promises to bring electric mobility to everyone.
