Wolfsburg/Munich, 8 September 2025 – At this year’s IAA MOBILITY in Munich, Volkswagen is presenting the results of three years of intensive development, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the brand. Guided by the philosophy of “True Volkswagen,” the company has returned to its defining strengths: timeless design with unmistakable recognition, uncompromising quality, strong price-performance ratios, and forward-thinking technologies.
A Portfolio Reinvented
The Volkswagen stand at IAA 2025 offers a sweeping view of the brand’s future, with a model portfolio that has undergone a near-complete renewal. Central to the display are several debuting vehicles that reflect Volkswagen’s sharpened strategy in both the electric and combustion-engine segments.
On the electric side, Volkswagen is expanding its popular ID. family with four new models aimed at the small car and compact segments. Making their first public appearance are the camouflaged ID. Polo and ID. Polo GTI, signalling a new naming strategy that bridges Volkswagen’s heritage with its electric future. The ID. CROSS Concept, a near-production-ready compact SUV, adds further momentum to this expansion. Completing the entry-level side of the portfolio, the ID. EVERY, expected to launch at a starting price of €20,000, will bring Volkswagen’s electric mobility vision within reach of a broader audience.
“These new models embody everything that makes Volkswagen unique: intuitive, practical, and accessible innovation designed for everyday life,” said Thomas Schäfer, CEO of the Volkswagen brand and Head of the Brand Group Core.
Heritage Meets Progress
While Volkswagen strengthens its electric line-up, it continues to refine its combustion-engine models with equal focus. The new T-Roc, a best-seller with millions of units sold, is being unveiled in its latest iteration, joining the newly developed Tiguan, Tayron, and Passat in the brand’s updated range. Together, these models highlight Volkswagen’s commitment to delivering choice—offering customers the flexibility of classic, hybrid, and electric powertrains.
Adding an extra spark of excitement, the company is showcasing special editions such as the ID.3 GTX FIRE+ICE, a vivid expression of the Wolfsburg brand’s dynamic new spirit.

Clear Vision Towards 2030
With its expanded and diversified portfolio, Volkswagen is positioning itself for leadership in an era of rapid change. “Our goal for the next five years is clear: By 2030, we want to establish ourselves as the leading high-volume manufacturer for pioneering technology. At the IAA 2025, we are demonstrating that we are ready to deliver on this now,” Schäfer emphasised.
By balancing heritage with innovation, Volkswagen is ensuring that its cars remain not only recognisable but also desirable—vehicles that continue to shape mobility while staying true to the brand’s DNA. From the accessible ID. EVERY to the performance-driven GTX models, the new range demonstrates Volkswagen’s ability to serve a wide spectrum of drivers while leading the way in sustainable mobility.
A True Volkswagen Future
IAA MOBILITY 2025 offers a glimpse into Volkswagen’s evolution: a portfolio refreshed with clean design, advanced technology, and attractive price-performance ratios that reaffirm what it means to drive a “True Volkswagen.”
As the second half of the decade unfolds, Volkswagen’s renewed focus ensures that whether through combustion engines, hybrids, or electric powertrains, the brand continues to connect innovation with everyday accessibility—a promise that has defined it for generations and will carry it confidently into the future.
