Volkswagen has added a splash of cheerful innovation to the T-Roc with the launch of its Canary-Assist blind spot monitor. Unlike conventional systems that rely solely on warning lights, this playful new option adds a friendly chirping sound to alert drivers when another vehicle is lurking in their blind spot. The result is a swift, intuitive response to potential hazards, helping drivers stay safe without startling fellow road users.
Available at no extra cost for customers with a T-Roc in Canary yellow, Canary-Assist can be activated through any Volkswagen Retailer using cloud-based software and option code 04.f001. The upgrade brings a touch of personality to modern safety, combining high-tech vigilance with a hint of whimsy.
Chris Starling, Product Marketing Manager at Volkswagen UK, emphasized the practical appeal of the system: “Most drivers consider themselves to be eagle-eyed, but nobody can match modern electronics when it comes to spotting dangers. Our new Canary-Assist blind spot monitor gives drivers a swift response to potential hazards, so they can avoid ruffling the feathers of other motorists.”
The new feature is available from 1 April and complements the T-Roc’s vibrant design palette, which includes striking single- and two-tone colours like Celestial blue, Flame red, and Canary yellow. With Canary-Assist, Volkswagen continues to combine safety, technology, and style in a way that is distinctly playful and uniquely T-Roc.
