World Premiere: The All-New Transporter
The highly anticipated seventh-generation Transporter was revealed just before the opening of the IAA, highlighting Volkswagen’s continued focus on functionality and adaptability. Available in various configurations, including panel van, Kombi, and double cab models, the new Transporter is designed to cater to a diverse range of commercial needs. Notably, Volkswagen has introduced an innovative factory-fitted shelving system in collaboration with Sortimo. This shelving, designed for tradespeople, couriers, and food transport services, can be customised and installed with ease, setting a new standard in practicality for work vehicles.
Expanded ID. Buzz Range
Volkswagen’s all-electric ID. Buzz lineup was a focal point of the event, with exciting new additions that expand the range both upward and downward. The new entry-level ID. Buzz Pure and ID. Buzz Freestyle come equipped with a 59 kWh battery, making electric mobility more accessible. At the other end of the spectrum, the ID. Buzz GTX models deliver 250 kW of power and all-wheel-drive capabilities, while the long-wheelbase version offers a larger 86 kWh battery with an impressive range of up to 487 kilometres. The introduction of the ID. Buzz Cargo 4MOTION AWD further enhances the lineup, bringing added towing capacity and greater versatility for commercial use.

Multivan eHybrid 4MOTION and California
Two standout models were the new Multivan eHybrid 4MOTION and the revamped California camper van. The Multivan, for the first time, combines plug-in hybrid technology with all-wheel-drive, offering powerful, eco-friendly performance. Meanwhile, the new California builds on its legendary status as the quintessential camper van. Available in various versions, including the Beach Camper and Ocean with full kitchenettes, the California maintains its iconic design while embracing new hybrid powertrains and advanced driver-assistance systems.
Updated Crafter and Caddy
Volkswagen has also enhanced its Crafter model, introducing a new cockpit design, infotainment systems, and a suite of assistive technologies. The Crafter now features digital instruments as standard, alongside optional systems like Travel Assist, which provides assisted longitudinal and lateral guidance. Meanwhile, the Caddy range has seen the introduction of the Caddy eHybrid and the Caddy Flexible, offering more environmentally friendly and customisable solutions for commercial use.
