Milton Keynes – Volkswagen has finished 2025 as the UK’s leading manufacturer in the true fleet sector, cementing its position at the forefront of corporate and business vehicle markets. According to the latest figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), the brand delivered 64,127 true fleet vehicles last year, representing a market share of 11.2 per cent.

The best-selling Volkswagen models among fleet buyers were the Tiguan, including the Tiguan Allspace, with 17,516 units sold, and the Golf, which reached 12,043 deliveries. The T-Roc and Polo also proved popular, with 5,002 and 4,188 units respectively. Electric vehicles are playing an increasingly significant role, with Volkswagen’s ID. range accounting for almost a third of all true fleet sales (29 per cent), or 18,690 units, led by the ID.4 with 4,934 deliveries.

True fleet registrations cover direct manufacturer deliveries to large corporations, sales via leasing companies, outright purchases, and public-sector organisations. They also include transactions to small businesses through Volkswagen’s nationwide Retailer network. These figures are widely recognised as a key indicator of business confidence, corporate mobility trends, and the overall health of the company car market.

“We are delighted with our market-leading true fleet performance in 2025,” said Simon Lynch, Head of Fleet Sales at Volkswagen UK. “It speaks volumes about the popularity of Volkswagen cars among business drivers and the strength of our fleet business overall.

“We are especially encouraged by the growing demand for our all-electric ID. models. Businesses and drivers are increasingly recognising the tax advantages, comfort, and impressive range of these vehicles – with the multi-award-winning ID.7 Tourer offering more than 400 miles on a single charge.”

Simon added: “Providing specialist support for businesses of all sizes is central to our approach. From large corporations working directly with our in-house team and 30 fleet business partners across the UK, to smaller enterprises leveraging our nationwide Retailer network, we understand the needs of company car drivers. Our number-one true fleet position for 2025 reflects that expertise and commitment.”

With a diverse range of vehicles and a growing focus on electrification, Volkswagen continues to set the standard for fleet mobility in the UK, combining reliability, efficiency, and innovative solutions for business drivers.
