- Lucky Vauxhall Trade Club members saw England beat Spain at Wembley
- 20 pairs of tickets given away to celebrate Vauxhall Trade Club’s 20th anniversary
Luton – Vauxhall, proud sponsors of Home Nations football, gave 20 lucky members of its Trade Club a rare treat of a Vauxhall VIP match day package at Wembley as they saw England beat football’s world and European champions Spain 1-0.
As part of Vauxhall Trade Club’s 20th anniversary celebrations, a competition was run where 20 Trade Club members won a pair of tickets for them and a guest. The lucky winners were no doubt expecting a tough match against the last winners of the World Cup, with a low chance of success, but stand-in England captain Frank Lampard’s 49th minute goal sealed an unexpected win for England.
The members of Vauxhall Trade Club, which has celebrated 20 years of serving the motor trade, all purchased genuine Vauxhall parts in the third quarter of 2011. A further 20 garages received runners-up prizes of an England training kit. After the game, the winners and their guests were treated to a special dinner at Wembley Plaza.
