The award-winning Vauxhall Corsa is the UK’s best-selling supermini, and the second-best selling new car in the country, according to the latest new car registration figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
With 39,910 units sold, the Corsa outsold every other supermini on the market in 2022, and was the country’s second-best selling car overall. In 2021, the Corsa was the UK’s best-selling new car, showcasing the continuing popularity the model has with both private and fleet buyers. The Corsa Electric was also the best-selling small electric car with private buyers in 2022.
The Corsa wasn’t the only success story for Vauxhall in 2022. The Vauxhall Mokka was the second-best selling B-SUV model in the country for the year, with 22,176 sold, while the fully electric Mokka Electric variant was also the second-best selling electric B-SUV model, accounting for 27% of all Mokka models sold.

The Vauxhall Mokka has also proven highly popular with UK customers and showcases our latest bold and pure design language.

This year will see new models like the All-New Astra Electric and Astra Sports Tourer Electric arrive, which will further increase our electric vehicle offering.”
Vauxhall has committed to be an electric-only brand in 2028 and is already one of the few manufacturers in the country able to offer fleets and private buyers an electric van across its entire model range.
The Vauxhall Corsa is available with efficient petrol engines as well as with a fully electric powertrain. The Corsa Electric is powered by a 50kWh battery and a 136PS (100kW) electric motor and is capable of up to 222 miles (WLTP test cycle) from a single charge.Capable of supporting up to 100kW rapid charging, an 80% charge takes just 30 minutes to complete.

Customers can arrange a live video viewing of their vehicle via the Vauxhall Virtual Showroom and proceed to the Online Store to configure their vehicle, personalise finance payments, and place an order, all from the comfort of their home.
