Urban Automotive is embarking on an exciting new chapter of growth as it joins forces with the AM Group, a renowned player in the B2B distribution of premium aftermarket parts for luxury vehicles. This strategic alliance marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey, unlocking unparalleled global opportunities and the expansion of its already impressive product portfolio.

Since its inception in 2013, Urban Automotive has made a name for itself as a leading provider of bespoke vehicle enhancements, with a focus on high-quality design, craftsmanship, and innovation. The company’s meteoric rise to prominence—bolstered by its bold modifications to the iconic Land Rover Defender—has earned it a devoted clientele that includes international celebrities and luxury car enthusiasts from around the world. With its expansion into the AM Group, Urban is now poised to take its operations to new heights, gaining access to new markets and leveraging a global distribution network.

A Strategic Expansion with State-of-the-Art Facilities

Phase one of Urban Automotive’s expansion plan has already begun with the acquisition of a new 42,765 square-foot facility in Milton Keynes. The move is a direct response to the company’s increasing demand and the need for more space to accommodate its growing operations. The new premises will bring all of Urban Automotive’s carbon fibre manufacturing and other processes under one roof, streamlining operations and allowing the team to collaborate more efficiently.

Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, the new building also includes cutting-edge Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) features, such as over 300 solar panels and advanced insulation, reducing both energy costs and the company’s environmental impact. This commitment to sustainability reflects Urban Automotive’s dedication to making a positive contribution to the planet while expanding its capabilities.

Simon Dearn, the founder and CEO of Urban Automotive, explains, “Expanding into our new state-of-the-art premises means our highly skilled team can work together in an environment that fosters collaboration, efficiency, and innovation to push our design and craftsmanship to new levels, while continuing the highest standards of quality that Urban’s known for.”

Urban Automotives New Alliance With Am Group Signals A Bold Step Towards Global Expansion

Strengthening the AM Group Alliance

Urban Automotive has been working closely with AM Group’s Absolute Motors since 2019, and this deeper alliance now sets the stage for even greater collaboration. As part of the AM Group, which also includes the well-established GP Products and Absolute Motors, Urban will benefit from a shared vision and mutual expertise in creating extraordinary luxury vehicle enhancements.

The partnership represents a unique opportunity to combine Urban’s design ingenuity and craftsmanship with AM Group’s global distribution network, enabling Urban to reach a broader customer base and expand into new international markets. This synergy will help accelerate product development and elevate the customer experience across all territories.

Patrick Meijer, CEO of AM Group, notes, “Together with the Urban team, we are poised to redefine industry standards. The synergy and passion in our companies will enable us to accelerate product development, expand into new markets, and anticipate the evolving desires of luxury vehicle owners.”

Continued Commitment to British Design Excellence

Despite the global expansion, Urban Automotive remains deeply committed to its roots in the UK. The design and manufacturing of its carbon fibre components and enhancements continue to take place in Milton Keynes, where the company’s highly skilled engineers and designers work tirelessly to deliver bespoke, precision-crafted vehicle upgrades. This dedication to in-house production aligns with Urban’s ‘OEM+’ ethos—ensuring the highest level of quality, attention to detail, and personalised service.

Urban Automotive’s success is not only measured by the numbers but also by the high-profile clientele that it has attracted over the years. From celebrities like Marcus Rashford and Kim Kardashian to luxury vehicle owners around the world, Urban’s work has become synonymous with exclusivity and refinement. One of the standout products in their portfolio, the Urban Widetrack kit for the Land Rover Defender, has sold over 2,500 units globally, cementing its place as one of the company’s most popular offerings.

Looking to the Future

The collaboration with AM Group, supported by venture capitalists NewPort Capital, has set the stage for the next phase of Urban Automotive’s growth. With a combined passion for innovation and excellence, this partnership is primed to elevate Urban’s offerings and create even more exceptional experiences for luxury vehicle owners worldwide.

As the automotive industry continues to evolve, Urban Automotive remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering unparalleled quality and sophistication, ensuring its clients’ vehicles stand out in a world where individualisation and craftsmanship are increasingly valued.

For Simon Dearn and the entire Urban team, the journey is far from over. With the AM Group’s support, the future is looking brighter than ever, with even more thrilling enhancements and bespoke creations set to redefine what it means to own a luxury vehicle.
