Urban Automotive has revealed its much-anticipated next-generation Widetrack styling programme for the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon W465, now available to order. Marking the British custom house’s 30th bespoke enhancement programme since its inception in 2013, the new offering showcases a bold evolution of Urban’s design language—anchored by premium materials, OEM-grade craftsmanship, and unmistakable presence.

“Our new G-Wagon Widetrack retains the core design language that defines Urban’s identity while signalling a bold and deliberate evolution,” says Simon Dearn, Founder and CEO of Urban Automotive.

With the G-Wagon already an icon among luxury SUVs—and a perennial favourite among high-profile clients including Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford—Urban’s refined take further solidifies the model’s status as a statement of both performance and prestige.

Two Distinct Looks: Widetrack and Aero Kit

Urban’s latest offering reimagines the W465 G-Wagon in two signature forms: the aggressive Widetrack package and the more understated Aero Kit. Both are compatible with the G63, G500, and G450d variants, offering comprehensive personalisation options across the G-Wagon range.

Widetrack: Power and Presence, Elevated

Designed for maximum visual impact, the Widetrack package embodies Urban’s ‘OEM Plus’ ethos—amplifying the G-Wagon’s commanding road presence without compromising its heritage.

With over 40 bespoke carbon fibre components engineered and manufactured in-house at Urban’s Milton Keynes headquarters, the new Widetrack treatment delivers a wide-bodied aesthetic with precision fit and finish.

Key highlights include:

  • Flared carbon fibre front and rear wheel arches
  • Vented carbon fibre bullnose bonnet overlay with UA badging
  • Restyled carbon fibre front bumper with honeycomb mesh inserts and a bold carbon splitter
  • Integrated carbon fibre light bar
  • Rear bumper with matching mesh design, diffuser, and tow cover
  • Handcrafted Urban-Vossen UV-7 23-inch alloy wheels, made exclusively in Miami

Every element is designed not just for looks, but to meet the exacting standards of OEM-level quality, performance, and durability.

Aero Kit: Subtle Sophistication

For those seeking a sleeker, less overt approach to customisation, the new Aero Kit redefines Urban’s previous ‘Soft Kit’ offering. This subtle revision maintains the vehicle’s original width, prioritising streamlined elegance over aggression.

The Aero Kit includes:

  • Vented bullnose bonnet overlay
  • Carbon fibre roof light cluster
  • Rear spoiler
  • Urban-branded wheel carrier

Optional upgrades include carbon fibre bumper overriders, wing mirrors, and bumper intake trims, giving owners ample freedom to tailor the look to their own tastes—without compromising the G-Wagon’s iconic silhouette.

Crafted in Carbon: British Engineering at Its Best

Urban Automotive has long been regarded as a master of modern automotive carbon fibre application—and the Widetrack and Aero Kit programmes reinforce that reputation.

All components are fabricated in-house using premium-grade carbon fibre, allowing for lightweight construction, enhanced durability, and meticulous fitment. The materials not only improve the SUV’s aesthetic and performance but also contribute to fuel efficiency and long-term value retention—with Urban-enhanced G-Wagons achieving up to 14% higher resale values.

“Advancements in design methodology have enabled significant improvements in both fit and finish, aligning the Widetrack with a premium OEM-standard aesthetic,” adds Dearn. “This evolution is reflected in the use of elevated materials—including extended carbon fibre detailing, billet aluminium exhaust finishers, and finely engineered mesh elements across the front, rear, and signature bullnose hood attachment.”

Available Now: Global Orders Open

The Widetrack and Aero Kit styling packages are now available for order directly from Urban Automotive or via their global distributor network. Customers can opt for brand-new stock vehicles pre-customised by Urban, or supply their own G-Wagon for enhancement.

Both packages are compatible with the G63 (4.0L V8 Twin-Turbo), G500 (3.0L Inline-6 Turbo), and G450d (3.0L Inline-6 Turbodiesel) variants, all with 9-speed automatic transmissions. Urban also offers retrofitting solutions for earlier G-Wagon models, ensuring legacy owners aren’t left out of this new chapter.

With the next-generation G-Wagon Widetrack, Urban Automotive cements its role as a pioneer in premium SUV customisation—delivering craftsmanship, innovation, and individuality in equal measure.
