Up to 75 Miles of All-Electric Driving in E-Mode
204PS Combined Output for Dynamic Performance
Standard Six-Speed DSG Gearbox and Three Hybrid Modes
Available in SE and SE L Trims Starting from £41,935 OTR
Milton Keynes, 10 June 2024 – Škoda is expanding its plug-in hybrid lineup with the introduction of the new Kodiaq iV, available to order now starting from £41,935 OTR. Building on the success of the Octavia iV, Škoda’s latest hybrid offering brings significant enhancements, including an impressive all-electric driving range and improved efficiency.
The Kodiaq iV features a meticulously designed drivetrain, developed from the ground up to integrate seamlessly into the SUV’s architecture. This ensures optimal placement of components, enhancing both range and driving experience.
Advanced Plug-In Hybrid Drivetrain
The second-generation plug-in hybrid system combines a 1.5 TSI 150PS turbocharged engine with a 116PS electric motor, delivering 330Nm of torque. The motor, integrated into the DQ400e DSG gearbox, operates independently or alongside the engine, also functioning as the starter motor and replacing the traditional alternator.
In electric mode, the Kodiaq iV offers up to 75 miles of emission-free driving (five-seat, SE model). For extended journeys, the hybrid mode seamlessly blends petrol and electric power for maximum efficiency.
The increased range is thanks to a larger 25.7kWh battery pack (19.7kWh usable), positioned under the rear seats. This pack features integrated water cooling, stores regenerative braking energy, and powers the vehicle’s heating and air conditioning.

Enhanced Charging Capabilities
A significant upgrade in the second-generation system is faster charging. For the first time, a Škoda plug-in hybrid supports DC rapid charging at up to 50kW, charging from 10-80% in approximately 26 minutes. The addition of a CCS socket allows charging at any public rapid charging station. For AC charging, the Kodiaq iV uses a Type 2 plug with a maximum rate of 11kW, achieving a full charge in around 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Flexible Driving Modes
The Kodiaq iV adapts to various driving needs with three selectable modes:
- E-Mode: Pure electric driving, active if the battery is sufficiently charged and the temperature is above -10°C.
- Hybrid Mode: The system optimizes fuel consumption by switching between the electric motor, engine, or both.
- Sport Mode: Maximizes power from both the petrol engine and electric motor, delivering 204PS and 350Nm of torque for a dynamic driving experience.
Pricing and Equipment
The Kodiaq iV is available in two trims, SE and SE L, both offering a five-seat configuration and a wealth of standard features.
