The Hispano Suiza Carmen Sagrera is set to make its grand debut on June 13th, coinciding with a milestone celebration of the brand’s 120th anniversary. The event will be held at the majestic Finca Mas Solers in Sant Pere de Ribes, marking a significant addition to the Carmen hypercar series.
The theme of the event draws inspiration from the enchanting Japanese legend of the red thread, symbolizing an unbreakable bond destined to connect people. This legend suggests that an invisible red thread binds individuals meant to be together, enduring through distance, time, and challenges without ever breaking. This concept of inevitable connection and unity will be the guiding motif throughout the launch event.
Hispano Suiza’s inception in 1904 was itself a product of destiny—an unexpected collaboration between businessman Damià Mateu and engineer Marc Birkigt. Their partnership, much like the red thread, represented a powerful force that brought together their distinct talents to create something exceptional.

Now, 120 years later, the narrative of the red thread re-emerges to celebrate the latest evolution of Hispano Suiza. The Carmen Sagrera represents a culmination of continuous innovation and will feature prominently during the launch at the late 19th-century Renaissance-style Mas Solers estate, a venue rich in history and previously chosen for the 2020 launch of the Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne during the pandemic-affected period.
The Carmen Sagrera will showcase significant advancements, including a new 103kW battery, enhanced aerodynamics, and refined interior design, setting new standards in the hypercar realm. The launch event will intertwine elements of mystery, art, and innovation, creating an immersive experience that reflects the universal themes of connection and destiny.
