Ulterio Motiv, the South African specialist vehicle builder known for engineering purpose-driven chassis systems, is set to make its exhibition debut at the 2025 Hankook Land Cruiser Festival – and it’s bringing something truly special to the show.
From Friday, 6 June to Sunday, 8 June, visitors to Sondela Nature Reserve & Spa will have the opportunity to explore three unique Ulterio Motiv-built vehicles at Stand E38, meet the team behind the builds, and enjoy family-friendly entertainment throughout the weekend. With over 50 exhibitors expected and another Land Cruiser Africa record attempt on the cards, it’s shaping up to be a standout event for 4×4 enthusiasts and adventure-seekers alike.
Innovation on Display: Three Standout Vehicles
At the heart of Ulterio Motiv’s exhibition will be three headline-making vehicles – all built on bespoke chassis developed in-house by the Ulterio team. These include:
- Toyota Land Cruiser 79 2.8 GD-6 Single Cab 6×6
- Toyota Land Cruiser 79 2.8 GD-6 Double Cab 6×6
- SVI Engineering’s Max 3 Six-Wheeler (Military Application)
The Max 3 represents a particularly notable engineering feat. Ulterio Motiv has reworked the platform with a robust chassis conversion that accommodates three axles and a 6×4 drivetrain – demonstrating the company’s capacity for highly specialised military-grade vehicle modifications.
Meet the Minds Behind the Machines
Festivalgoers will also have the chance to engage with key members of the Ulterio Motiv team. Mechanical expert and lead vehicle builder Juan Vosloo, together with Business Development Director Nicol Louw, will be on hand throughout most of the weekend to discuss the company’s innovative approach and the wide-ranging potential of its platforms.

Beyond the technical displays, the Land Cruiser Festival promises something for everyone. With a packed programme of activities, challenges, and the ever-popular Cruiser record attempt, the event draws Toyota fans, off-road enthusiasts, and families alike. Day visitors can attend for just R60, while participation in the Cruiser Challenge starts from R350.
